And God will use this persecution to show his justice and to make you worthy of his Kingdom, for which you are suffering.

All this is evidence that God’s judgment is right, and as a result you will be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which you are suffering.

All of this proves that when God judges, he is fair. So you will be considered worthy to enter God’s kingdom. You are suffering for his kingdom.

This is evidence of the righteous judgment of God, that you may be considered worthy of the kingdom of God, for which you are also suffering—

So we keep on praying for you, asking our God to enable you to live a life worthy of his call. May he give you the power to accomplish all the good things your faith prompts you to do.

But the Lord reigns forever, executing judgment from his throne.He will judge the world with justice and rule the nations with fairness.

Who will not fear you, Lord, and glorify your name? For you alone are holy. All nations will come and worship before you, for your righteous deeds have been revealed.”

always thanking the Father. He has enabled you to share in the inheritance that belongs to his people, who live in the light.

All he does is just and good, and all his commandments are trustworthy.

Mighty King, lover of justice, you have established fairness. You have acted with justice and righteousness throughout Israel.

And I heard a voice from the altar, saying,“ Yes, O Lord God, the Almighty, your judgments are true and just.”

Think back on those early days when you first learned about Christ. Remember how you remained faithful even though it meant terrible suffering.Sometimes you were exposed to public ridicule and were beaten, and sometimes you helped others who were suffering the same things.

Therefore I, a prisoner for serving the Lord, beg you to lead a life worthy of your calling, for you have been called by God.

In his justice he will pay back those who persecute you.And God will provide rest for you who are being persecuted and also for us when the Lord Jesus appears from heaven. He will come with his mighty angels,

“ Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise and glorify and honor the King of heaven. All his acts are just and true, and he is able to humble the proud.”

If we endure hardship, we will reign with him. If we deny him, he will deny us.

Does God twist justice? Does the Almighty twist what is right?

But because you are stubborn and refuse to turn from your sin, you are storing up terrible punishment for yourself. For a day of anger is coming, when God’s righteous judgment will be revealed.

But those who wish to boast should boast in this alone: that they truly know me and understand that I am the Lord who demonstrates unfailing love and who brings justice and righteousness to the earth, and that I delight in these things. I, the Lord, have spoken!

Help him judge your people in the right way; let the poor always be treated fairly.

Then Paul and Barnabas spoke out boldly and declared,“ It was necessary that we first preach the word of God to you Jews. But since you have rejected it and judged yourselves unworthy of eternal life, we will offer it to the Gentiles.

And then, dear brothers and sisters, you suffered persecution from your own countrymen. In this way, you imitated the believers in God’s churches in Judea who, because of their belief in Christ Jesus, suffered from their own people, the Jews.

If you are insulted because you bear the name of Christ, you will be blessed, for the glorious Spirit of God rests upon you.If you suffer, however, it must not be for murder, stealing, making trouble, or prying into other people’s affairs.But it is no shame to suffer for being a Christian. Praise God for the privilege of being called by his name!For the time has come for judgment, and it must begin with God’s household. And if judgment begins with us, what terrible fate awaits those who have never obeyed God’s Good News?And also,“ If the righteous are barely saved, what will happen to godless sinners?”
