King David dedicated these articles to the Lord, as he had done with the silver and gold from all the nations he had subdued:

King David set those gifts apart for the Lord. He had done the same thing with the silver and gold he had taken from the other nations. Those were nations he had brought under his control.

所罗门王完成耶和华殿的一切工作后，就把他父亲大卫献给耶和华的金银和器具都搬进耶和华殿的库房。

看啊，我历尽艰辛，为耶和华的殿预备了三千四百五十吨金子、三万四千五百吨银子和不计其数的铜和铁。我还预备了木料和石头。你还要多加预备。你有许多工匠，如凿石匠、砌石匠、木匠等各种能工巧匠，还有不计其数的金匠、银匠、铜匠和铁匠。现在动工吧，愿耶和华与你同在。”

耶和华说：“锡安城啊，起来打谷吧！我要给你铁角，我要给你铜蹄。你要打碎列国，将他们的不义之财献给耶和华，把他们的财富献给普天下的主。”

于是，大卫把这些器皿和他从以东、摩押、亚扪、非利士和亚玛力各国夺来的金银都分别出来，奉献给耶和华。

我已竭尽所能为我上帝的殿预备了制作金器、银器、铜器、铁器和木器所需的金银铜铁及木头，还有大量的玛瑙、镶嵌用的宝石、彩石、大理石及其他贵重的石头。

示罗密及其亲族负责管理库房中的奉献之物，这些物品是大卫王、众族长、千夫长、百夫长和将领献给上帝的圣物。他们把战争中掳掠的财物献出来，以备建造耶和华的殿。撒母耳先见、基士的儿子扫罗、尼珥的儿子押尼珥、洗鲁雅的儿子约押及其他人奉献的圣物都由示罗密及其亲族管理。
