大衛日漸強盛，因為萬軍之上帝耶和華與他同在。

無論你去哪裡，我都與你同在，為你剷除所有仇敵。現在我要使你聲名遠播，與世上的偉人齊名。

耶和華與大衛同在，因此他事事成功。

我追趕仇敵直到追上，不消滅他們決不回頭。我打垮他們，使他們倒在我的腳下，再也站不起來。你賜我征戰的能力，使我的仇敵降服在我腳下。你使我的仇敵狼狽而逃，我殲滅了恨我的人。他們高聲求救，卻無人搭救；他們呼求耶和華，祂也不應允。我把他們打得粉碎，如同風中的灰塵；我把他們倒掉，如同街上的泥土。

祂從灰塵中提拔貧窮人，從糞堆中擢升困苦人，使他們與王子同坐，與本國的王子同坐。

他又在以東全境設駐軍，以東人都臣服於他。耶和華使他無往而不勝。

還派軍駐守亞蘭國的大馬士革，亞蘭人臣服大衛，向他進貢。耶和華使大衛無往而不勝。

這樣，掃羅和他三個兒子，以及為他拿兵器的人和他的軍隊都死了。

祂使當權者失勢，叫謙卑的人升高。

祂從灰塵中提拔窮苦的人，從糞堆裡擢升貧賤的人，使他們與王子同坐，得享尊榮。大地的根基屬於耶和華，祂在上面建立了世界。

祂使我的腳如母鹿的蹄，穩踏在高處。祂訓練我的手怎樣作戰，使我的手臂能拉開銅弓。你是拯救我的盾牌，你的垂顧使我強大。你使我腳下的道路寬闊，不致滑倒。我追趕仇敵，擊潰他們，不消滅他們決不回頭。

我依靠你的力量迎戰敵軍，靠著我的上帝躍過牆垣。

上帝的城啊，人們傳揚你的榮耀。（細拉）「我要把埃及人、巴比倫人、非利士人、泰爾人和古實人列為認識我的民族，視他們為錫安人。」至於錫安，必有人說：「萬族必成為城中的居民，至高者必親自堅立這城。」耶和華將萬民登記入冊的時候，必把他們列為錫安的居民。（細拉）

耶和華從掃羅和所有仇敵手中拯救大衛那天，他向耶和華吟唱此詩：

我要當著他的面擊垮他的敵人，打倒恨他的人。

我必使你成為大國，我必賜福給你，使你聲名遠播。你必成為別人的祝福。
