and have done ever since the time I appointed leaders over my people Israel. I will also give you rest from all your enemies.“‘ The Lord declares to you that the Lord himself will establish a house for you:

當王住進自己的宮殿，耶和華使他安定，脫離四圍一切仇敵的時候，

然而他們卻忘掉了耶和華他們的神，因此神把他們賣到哈佐的元帥西西拉的手中，賣到非利士人的手中和摩押王的手中，這些人就攻打他們。他們向耶和華哀求，說：『我們犯了罪，我們離棄了耶和華，服事眾巴力和亞斯她錄。現在求你解救我們脫離仇敵的手，我們要服事你。』於是耶和華派遣了耶路巴力、比丹、耶弗塔、撒母耳。耶和華解救你們脫離四圍仇敵的手，你們就安然居住。

因為你——萬軍之耶和華以色列的神，是你親自啟示你的僕人，說：『我要為你建造家室。』所以你的僕人有了勇氣來向你獻上這禱告。

你曾說：「我與我所揀選的人立了約，我向我的僕人大衛起了誓：我要使你的後裔堅立，直到永遠；我要建立你的寶座，直到萬代。」細拉

如果不是耶和華建造房屋，建造的人就枉然勞苦；如果不是耶和華看守城池，看守的人就枉然警醒。

他使戰爭止息，直到地極；他打斷弓、砍斷矛，用烈火燒掉戰車。

求你饒恕女僕的過犯！耶和華必定為我主建造一個持久的家室，因為我主是為耶和華爭戰；在你一生的日子裡，在你身上必找不到任何過犯。

智慧的女人建立自己的家；愚妄的女人親手拆毀它。

他們的仇敵壓迫他們，他們就屈服在仇敵手下。
