Then he gave a loaf of bread, a cake of dates and a cake of raisins to each person in the whole crowd of Israelites, both men and women. And all the people went to their homes.

He gave to each Israelite man and woman a loaf of bread. He also gave each one a date cake and a raisin cake. Then all the people went home.

他又對他們說：『你們去喫肥美的，喝甘甜的，將祭肉分兒送給那不能豫備的；因為今天是我們的主的聖日；你們不要憂愁，因為靠永恆主而得的喜樂、就是你們的力量。』

第八天王遣散了眾民，眾民都向王祝福辭別，各回各家而去；因為看見永恆主向他僕人大衛和他人民以色列所施的一切恩惠，他們心裏都很歡喜快樂。

猶大王希西家提獻了公牛一千隻，羊七千隻給大眾；首領們也提獻了公牛一千隻、羊一萬隻給大眾；因此許多祭司便潔淨自己為聖、以便供職。

將做燔祭的部分拿去，好按着平民父系家族的分組去分發，而照所寫在摩西書上的去供獻與永恆主。獻公牛也是這樣。他們按規矩用火烤了逾越節的羊羔；別的聖物則用鍋、用鼎、用盤子去煮，迅速地給所有的平民送去。

所以經上說：『他升上了高處，擄了無數的俘虜，將贈品賜給人。』（

於是約西亞提獻了羊羣中的綿羊羔和山羊羔給所有在場的眾人做逾越節的祭牲：總數共有三萬隻；還有公牛三千隻：都是從王的活財物中取的。約西亞的大臣也自願將祭牲提獻給人民、給祭司和利未人；又有上帝之殿的總務希勒家、撒迦利亞、耶歇、也將羊羔二千六百隻、公牛三百隻、給了祭司做逾越節的祭牲。

我凡事給你們做榜樣，讓你們知道應當這樣勞苦、扶助軟弱的人，記念主耶穌的話；他自己說過：「給予比接受更為有福」』。

七月二十三日，王遣散了眾民回家；眾民因見了永恆主向大衛所羅門和他人民以色列所施的恩惠，他們心裏都很歡喜快樂。

又分給以色列眾人、無論男女、每人一個餅，又有棗餅、葡萄餅。

人君的本分是在節期、月初一、安息日、以色列家一切制定節期上、奉上燔祭、素祭、奠祭；是他要供備解罪祭、素祭、燔祭，和平安祭、來替以色列家除罪的。
