所羅門王和那些會集到他那裏的以色列全會眾都同他在約櫃前宰獻牛羊為祭，多到不能計算、不能數點。

永恆主啊，求你起來，你和你那有能力的約櫃同入安居所；

所羅門王獻了牛二萬二千隻、羊十二萬隻為祭：這樣、王和眾民就為上帝的殿行了奉獻禮。祭司們站立着、各供職守：利未人也站着，拿着頌美永恆主的樂器，就是大衛王所製造、來稱讚永恆主的：（所稱讚的是：「他堅固的愛永遠長存」）大衛讚美主的時候，總由利未人經手；祭司們在利未人對面吹號筒；以色列眾人都站立着。所羅門將永恆主殿前院子當中分別為聖，在那裏獻了燔祭和平安祭牲的脂肪，因為所羅門所造的銅祭壇容不下燔祭、和素祭跟脂肪。

眾人將上帝的櫃抬進去，把它安置在大衛所搭的帳棚中間。他們便在上帝面前獻燔祭和平安祭。

以色列人、祭司和利未人、以及其餘被擄返回的人、都歡歡喜喜舉行這上帝之殿的奉獻禮。在這上帝之殿的奉獻禮上，他們供獻了公牛一百隻、公綿羊二百隻、綿羊羔四百隻；又照以色列族派的數目供獻了公山羊十二隻、為以色列眾人做解罪祭。
