我、我雖然受膏為王，今日還是柔弱；洗魯雅的兒子這些人比我強；願永恆主照惡人所行的壞事報應行壞事的人就是了。』

我雖然被膏立為王，今天卻軟弱；這些人——洗魯雅的兒子們強硬得令我作難。願耶和華照著惡人所行的惡，報應惡人！」

我雖受膏為王、今猶荏弱、此洗魯雅之子、逼我太甚、願耶和華依惡人之惡而報之、

我始受膏為王、今尚荏弱、此西魯雅二子強於我、願主循惡人所行之惡而報之、

And today, though I am the anointed king, I am weak, and these sons of Zeruiah are too strong for me. May the Lord repay the evildoer according to his evil deeds!”

I’m the anointed king. But today I’m weak. These sons of Zeruiah are too powerful for me. May the Lord pay back the one who killed Abner! May he pay him back for the evil thing he has done!”

And I was gentle today, though anointed king. These men, the sons of Zeruiah, are more severe than I. The Lord repay the evildoer according to his wickedness!”

And even though I am the anointed king, these two sons of Zeruiah— Joab and Abishai— are too strong for me to control. So may the Lord repay these evil men for their evil deeds.”

As for me, even though I am the anointed king, I have little power today. These men, the sons of Zeruiah, are too fierce for me. May the LORD repay the evildoer according to his evil!”

And I am weak today, though anointed king; and these men, the sons of Zeruiah, are too difficult for me. May the Lord repay the evildoer in proportion to his evil.”

And I[ am] this day weak, though anointed king; and these men the sons of Zeruiah[ be] too hard for me: the LORD shall reward the doer of evil according to his wickedness.

此罪必永歸約押、及其苗裔、惟耶和華必賜平康於大闢眷聚、爰其苗裔、至於國家永世靡暨。耶何耶大子庇拿雅遂往擊約押、殺之、葬於私宅、地鄰曠野。

作惡者早加翦滅、毋俾在耶和華邑兮。

金工亞力山大數害我、願主視其所行而報之、

當罰其惡、視所為而報之、以彼所行加諸其身兮、

昔西魯雅子約押、背逆乎我、亦殺以色列族軍長二人、即尼耳子押尼耳、益帖子亞馬撒、彼於綏安之日、殘害人命、與戰鬥之際無異、以人血染所束之紳、所着之履、其事皆爾所知。循爾智慧以行、不使其皓然白首、安樂歸墓。

大闢曰、我子所羅門、尚在弱齡、必為耶和華建殿、矞皇顯麗、萬國播揚、我必為之備。於是大闢存日、預備之物、不可悉數、

王坐鞫民、見惡人則擯斥之。

約押入宮覲王、曰、王之臣僕、今日拯爾之命、爰及后妃子女、爾乃使之懷羞。是愛敵憾友、不顧方伯臣僕也。今日我知、如押沙龍尚存、而我儕咸死、爾乃懽然。今爾當涖民、以甘言慰藉、否則我指耶和華發誓、今日至夕、一人不與爾偕、此害較爾自幼所遭者尤甚。

告之曰、爾其謹恪、聽訟非為人、乃代耶和華、蓋聽訟之時、耶和華實鑒之、當畏耶和華、慎爾所為、凡行不義、以貌取人、賄賂是貪者、我上帝耶和華不悅。○

告之曰哩汛率亞蘭人、與哩馬利子相會、其怒雖烈、不過二火炬之餘燼、僅有微烟、爾勿畏葸、勿喪膽、可安爾心、

亦告亞馬撒曰、爾乃我骨肉之親、我必使爾代約押、恆為軍長、不然願上帝罰我。

居位者、上帝僕也、原以益爾、行惡宜畏之、以其為上帝僕、柄不徒操、刑加作惡之人、

作惡之人、必制伏之、使其角見折兮、為善之家、必振興之、使其角嶄然兮。

主矜憫是懷、必視人所行、而加賞罰兮。

所謀不軌兮自取戾、所為不順兮、喪其元、

擊人死者殺無赦。
