Do not kill any more people.” The angel of the Lord was at Araunah’s threshing floor. Araunah was from the city of Jebus.

And when the angel stretched out his hand toward Jerusalem to destroy it, the Lord relented from the calamity and said to the angel who was working destruction among the people,“ It is enough; now stay your hand.” And the angel of the Lord was by the threshing floor of Araunah the Jebusite.

耶和華就後悔在地上造了人，心中憂傷。

「我後悔立掃羅為王了，因為他轉離不跟從我，也不執行我的命令。」撒母耳為此很苦惱，整夜向耶和華哀求。

主的一位天使立刻擊打希律，因為他沒有把榮耀歸給神。他被蟲咬蝕，就斷了氣。

耶和華啊，這要等到什麼時候呢？求你回轉，憐憫你的僕人們！

因為耶和華為他的子民伸冤，向他的僕人們施憐憫。

這樣的人，受了大多數人的那懲罰已經夠了。

願他們的道路又暗又滑，有耶和華的使者追趕他們；

接著是耶布斯人、亞摩利人、革迦撒人、

我必不永遠責備，也不長久發怒，否則人的靈——我所造的生命氣息，在我面前就會衰竭。

那天大衛說：「誰攻打耶布斯人，就要從水道上去，攻打大衛心中厭惡的那些瘸子、瞎子。」從此就有俗語說：「瞎眼的和瘸腿的不得進入殿內。」

你們的神說：「要安慰，要安慰我的子民；要對耶路撒冷說安心話，向她宣告：她的苦役已經結束，她的罪孽已被償清；她為自己的一切罪惡，已經從耶和華的手中雙倍受罰了。」

你與他們相爭，把他們趕走、放逐；在颳東風的日子，用暴風趕逐他們。

然而神有憐憫，贖清了他們的罪孽，沒有施行毀滅；他多次使他的怒氣轉消，沒有發盡他的怒火。

耶穌第三次回來，對他們說：「你們還在睡覺、休息嗎？已經夠了，時候到了！看哪，人子被交在罪人的手裡了。
