The God of Israel said it; The Rock of Israel spoke to me:‘ He who rules over mankind righteously, Who rules in the fear of God,

以色列的神發話，以色列的磐石對我說：「那以公義統治人民，存敬畏神的心施行統治的，

以色列之上帝有言、以色列之磐石謂我曰、以義治人、寅畏上帝、而秉權者、

以色列族至能之上帝許我曰、必有義主、畏上帝而治人。

以色列天主有言、以色列所恃之天主、原文作以色列之磐諭我曰、為人君者若義、秉權者若畏天主、

The God of Israel spoke, the Rock of Israel said to me:‘ When one rules over people in righteousness, when he rules in the fear of God,

The God of Israel spoke. The Rock of Israel said to me,‘ A king must rule over people in a way that is right. He must have respect for God when he rules.

The God of Israel has spoken; the Rock of Israel has said to me: When one rules justly over men, ruling in the fear of God,

The God of Israel spoke. The Rock of Israel said to me:‘ The one who rules righteously, who rules in the fear of God,

The God of Israel spoke; the Rock of Israel said to me,“ The one who rules the people with justice, who rules in the fear of God,

The God of Israel said, The Rock of Israel spoke to me:‘ He who rules over men must be just, Ruling in the fear of God.

The God of Israel said, The Rock of Israel spake to me: One that ruleth over men righteously, That ruleth in the fear of God,

The God of Israel spoke; the Rock of Israel said to me,“ The one who rules the people with justice, who rules in the fear of God,

The God of Israel said, the Rock of Israel spake to me, He that ruleth over men[ must be] just, ruling in the fear of God.

The God of Israel spoke, the protector of Israel spoke to me. The one who rules fairly among men, the one who rules in the fear of God,

The God of Israel said, the Rock of Israel spoke to me,‘ One who rules over men righteously, who rules in the fear of God,

For who is God, except the Lord? And who is a rock, except our God?

Then he erected there an altar and called it El Elohe Israel.

The Rock! His work is perfect, For all His ways are just; A God of faithfulness and without injustice, Righteous and just is He.

He said,“ The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer;My God, my rock, in whom I take refuge, My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold and my refuge; My savior, You save me from violence.

Furthermore, you shall select out of all the people able men who fear God, men of truth, those who hate dishonest gain; and you shall place these over them as leaders of thousands, of hundreds, of fifties, and of tens.

Behold, a king will reign righteously, And officials will rule justly.

Furthermore, since the day that I was appointed to be their governor in the land of Judah, from the twentieth year to the thirty second year of King Artaxerxes, for twelve years, neither I nor my kinsmen have eaten the governor’s food allowance.

Now then, if you will indeed obey My voice and keep My covenant, then you shall be My own possession among all the peoples, for all the earth is Mine;and you shall be to Me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation.’ These are the words that you shall speak to the sons of Israel.”

Now then, let the fear of the Lord be upon you; be careful about what you do, for the Lord our God will have no part in injustice or partiality, or in the taking of a bribe.”In Jerusalem Jehoshaphat also appointed some of the Levites and priests, and some of the heads of the fathers’ households of Israel, for the judgment of the Lord, and to judge disputes among the inhabitants of Jerusalem.Then he commanded them, saying,“ This is what you shall do in the fear of the Lord, faithfully and wholeheartedly.

Rejoice greatly, daughter of Zion! Shout in triumph, daughter of Jerusalem! Behold, your king is coming to you; He is righteous and endowed with salvation, Humble, and mounted on a donkey, Even on a colt, the foal of a donkey.

I will say to God my rock,“ Why have You forgotten me? Why do I go about mourning because of the oppression of the enemy?”

Vindicate the weak and fatherless; Do justice to the afflicted and destitute.Rescue the weak and needy; Save them from the hand of the wicked.

The Lord will stretch out Your strong scepter from Zion, saying,“ Rule in the midst of Your enemies.”

May he judge Your people with righteousness And Your afflicted with justice.

Open your mouth, judge righteously, And defend the rights of the poor and needy.

How could one chase a thousand, And two put ten thousand to flight, Unless their Rock had sold them, And the Lord had given them up?Indeed, their rock is not like our Rock; Even our enemies themselves judge this.

But regarding the Son He says,“ Your throne, God, is forever and ever, And the scepter of righteousness is the scepter of His kingdom.

Then a shoot will spring from the stem of Jesse, And a Branch from his roots will bear fruit.The Spirit of the Lord will rest on Him, The spirit of wisdom and understanding, The spirit of counsel and strength, The spirit of knowledge and the fear of the Lord.And He will delight in the fear of the Lord, And He will not judge by what His eyes see, Nor make decisions by what His ears hear;But with righteousness He will judge the poor, And decide with fairness for the humble of the earth; And He will strike the earth with the rod of His mouth, And with the breath of His lips He will slay the wicked.Also righteousness will be the belt around His hips, And faithfulness the belt around His waist.

“ I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery.

“ You shall appoint for yourself judges and officers in all your towns which the Lord your God is giving you, according to your tribes, and they shall judge the people with righteous judgment.You shall not distort justice, you shall not show partiality; and you shall not accept a bribe, because a bribe blinds the eyes of the wise and distorts the words of the righteous.Justice, and only justice, you shall pursue, so that you may live and possess the land which the Lord your God is giving you.

“ You shall not pervert the justice due to your needy brother in his dispute.Keep far from a false charge, and do not kill the innocent or the righteous, for I will not acquit the guilty.“ You shall not take a bribe, for a bribe blinds the clear sighted and subverts the cause of the just.

“ Behold, the days are coming,” declares the Lord,“ When I will raise up for David a righteous Branch; And He will reign as king and act wisely And do justice and righteousness in the land.

God furthermore said to Moses,“ This is what you shall say to the sons of Israel:‘ The Lord, the God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, has sent me to you.’ This is My name forever, and this is the name for all generations to use to call upon Me.
