於是以色列族不從大闢、群從示巴。惟猶大人恆從大闢、自約但擁護至耶路撒冷、

於是以色列人皆離大衛、從比基利子示巴、惟猶大人不離其王、自約但至耶路撒冷、

So all the men of Israel deserted David to follow Sheba son of Bikri. But the men of Judah stayed by their king all the way from the Jordan to Jerusalem.

So all the men of Israel deserted David. They followed Sheba, the son of Bikri. But the men of Judah stayed with their king. They remained with him from the Jordan River all the way to Jerusalem.

So all the men of Israel withdrew from David and followed Sheba the son of Bichri. But the men of Judah followed their king steadfastly from the Jordan to Jerusalem.

So all the men of Israel deserted David and followed Sheba son of Bicri. But the men of Judah stayed with their king and escorted him from the Jordan River to Jerusalem.

So all the men of Israel deserted David and followed Sheba son of Bichri, but the men of Judah from the Jordan all the way to Jerusalem remained loyal to their king.

巴拿巴到了，看見神的恩典就感到歡喜，鼓勵大家要立定心志，繼續靠主，

從此耶穌的門徒中有許多人離開回到背後的事上，不再與他同行。耶穌就對十二使徒說：「你們也不會想離開吧？」西門彼得回答：「主啊，你有永恆生命的話語，我們還去歸從誰呢？

王就回來，到了約旦河；猶大人趕到吉甲去迎接王，請王渡約旦河。

紛爭的開始，就如放開的水；捲入爭執之前，當放棄爭辯。

卑賤的人不過是虛空，尊貴的人也只是虛幻；把他們放在天平上，他們那邊就向上升，他們加起來比空氣還輕。

投靠耶和華，好過依靠人；投靠耶和華，好過依靠高貴的人。列國都圍繞我；我靠耶和華的名必要割除他們！

王前往吉甲，金罕也與他一同過去；所有的猶大軍兵，還有以色列軍兵的一半，都護送王過去。看哪，以色列眾人來見王，問王：「我們的兄弟猶大人為什麼偷偷地帶走王，把王和家人、以及所有大衛的部下接過約旦河呢？」
