Now a troublemaker named Sheba son of Bikri, a Benjamite, happened to be there. He sounded the trumpet and shouted,“ We have no share in David, no part in Jesse’s son! Every man to his tent, Israel!”

An evil man who always stirred up trouble happened to be in Gilgal. His name was Sheba, the son of Bikri. Sheba was from the tribe of Benjamin. He blew his trumpet. Then he shouted,“ We don’t have any share in David’s kingdom! Jesse’s son is not our king! Men of Israel, every one of you go back home!”

Now there happened to be there a worthless man, whose name was Sheba, the son of Bichri, a Benjaminite. And he blew the trumpet and said,“ We have no portion in David, and we have no inheritance in the son of Jesse; every man to his tents, O Israel!”

There happened to be a troublemaker there named Sheba son of Bicri, a man from the tribe of Benjamin. Sheba blew a ram’s horn and began to chant:“ Down with the dynasty of David! We have no interest in the son of Jesse. Come on, you men of Israel, back to your homes!”

Now a wicked man, a Benjaminite named Sheba son of Bichri, happened to be there. He blew the ram’s horn and shouted: We have no portion in David, no inheritance in Jesse’s son. Each man to his tent, Israel!

Now a worthless man happened to be there whose name was Sheba, the son of Bichri, a Benjaminite; and he blew the trumpet and said,“ We have no share in David, Nor do we have an inheritance in the son of Jesse; Every man to his tents, Israel!”

And there happened to be there a rebel, whose name was Sheba the son of Bichri, a Benjamite. And he blew a trumpet, and said:“ We have no share in David, Nor do we have inheritance in the son of Jesse; Every man to his tents, O Israel!”

And there happened to be there a base fellow, whose name was Sheba, the son of Bichri, a Benjamite: and he blew the trumpet, and said, We have no portion in David, neither have we inheritance in the son of Jesse: every man to his tents, O Israel.

Now a wicked man, a Benjaminite named Sheba son of Bichri, happened to be there. He blew the ram’s horn and shouted: We have no portion in David, no inheritance in Jesse’s son. Each man to his tent, Israel!

And there happened to be there a man of Belial, whose name[ was] Sheba, the son of Bichri, a Benjamite: and he blew a trumpet, and said, We have no part in David, neither have we inheritance in the son of Jesse: every man to his tents, O Israel.

Now a wicked man named Sheba son of Bicri, a Benjaminite, happened to be there. He blew the trumpet and said,“ We have no share in David; we have no inheritance in this son of Jesse! Every man go home, O Israel!”

There happened to be there a wicked fellow, whose name was Sheba, the son of Bichri, a Benjamite; and he blew the trumpet, and said,“ We have no portion in David, neither have we inheritance in the son of Jesse. Every man to his tents, Israel!”

耶和華啊，求你起來，迎面抵擋他們，使他們屈服！求你用你的刀劍，挽救我的性命脫離惡人！

看哪，以色列眾人來見王，問王：「我們的兄弟猶大人為什麼偷偷地帶走王，把王和家人、以及所有大衛的部下接過約旦河呢？」猶大眾人回應以色列人，說：「因為王與我們是親族。你們為什麼因這事惱火呢？難道我們吃了王的什麼東西，或者我們得了什麼好處嗎？」以色列人回應猶大人，說：「在王的一切事上，我們占有十份，所以我們比你們與大衛更有份。你們為什麼藐視我們呢？不是我們先說要我們的王回來的嗎？」但是猶大人的話比以色列人的話更強硬。

掃羅對身旁侍立的臣僕說：「便雅憫子孫哪，你們聽著：耶西的兒子也能把田地和葡萄園賜給你們各人嗎？他能設立你們各人作千夫長、百夫長嗎？你們所有人竟然同謀對付我！當我的兒子與耶西的兒子結盟的時候，沒有人告訴我；當我的兒子煽動我的臣僕伺機反對我時，就像今天這樣，你們中間也沒有人關心我、告訴我。」

好爭執的人煽動爭端，就如餘火加炭，火上加柴。

不可急於出去與人爭訟；否則，你的鄰人羞辱你時，你最後要怎麼做呢？

但卑劣的人全都像荊棘那樣被丟棄，不能用手去拿；

我兒啊，你當敬畏耶和華和君王，不要與逆反的人結交！因為來自耶和華和君王的災難會突然興起；來自他們兩者的災患，誰能知道呢？

義人有許多患難，但耶和華解救他脫離這一切，

以利的兩個兒子是卑劣之徒，不尊重耶和華，

押沙龍派遣探子到以色列所有的支派中，說：「你們一聽見號角聲，就要說：『押沙龍在希伯崙作王了！』」

「他本國的人卻憎恨他，就差派特使在他背後去，說：『我們不要這個人做王統治我們。』

與大衛一起去的人中，所有的惡人和卑劣之徒都議論說：「既然他們沒有與我們一起去，就不要把我們奪取的戰利品分給他們。只讓他們把各自的妻子、兒女帶走。」

不過我的這些敵人，就是不要我做王統治他們的人，把他們帶到這裡來，在我面前殺掉！」
