約押謂亞馬撒曰、我兄安乎。以右手接其髯、欲與接吻。亞瑪撒見約押拾刃、不以為意、約押刺之、腹洞腸流、毋庸再擊、已斃其命。約押及弟亞庇篩仍追庇革哩子示巴。亞馬撒偃仆途側、血污遍體、約押僕從中有一人、立而呼曰、欲助約押、尊大闢者、當從約押。見民至此而立、則移尸自大道至田野、掩之以布。
