亞希多弗昔從大闢、今從押沙龍、所議之事、人視之若諮諏於上帝。

當時亞希多弗定謀、人視之如問天主之言、昔為大衛定謀、今為押沙龍定謀、皆如是也、

Now in those days the advice Ahithophel gave was like that of one who inquires of God. That was how both David and Absalom regarded all of Ahithophel’s advice.

In those days the advice Ahithophel gave was as good as advice from someone who asks God for guidance. That’s what David and Absalom thought about all of Ahithophel’s advice.

Now in those days the counsel that Ahithophel gave was as if one consulted the word of God; so was all the counsel of Ahithophel esteemed, both by David and by Absalom.

Absalom followed Ahithophel’s advice, just as David had done. For every word Ahithophel spoke seemed as wise as though it had come directly from the mouth of God.

Now the advice Ahithophel gave in those days was like someone asking about a word from God— such was the regard that both David and Absalom had for Ahithophel’s advice.

Now the advice of Ahithophel, which he gave in those days, was taken as though one inquired of the word of God; so was all the advice of Ahithophel regarded by both David and Absalom.

Now the advice of Ahithophel, which he gave in those days, was as if one had inquired at the oracle of God. So was all the advice of Ahithophel both with David and with Absalom.

And the counsel of Ahithophel, which he gave in those days, was as if a man inquired at the oracle of God: so was all the counsel of Ahithophel both with David and with Absalom.

Now the advice Ahithophel gave in those days was like someone asking about a word from God— such was the regard that both David and Absalom had for Ahithophel’s advice.

And the counsel of Ahithophel, which he counselled in those days,[ was] as if a man had enquired at the oracle of God: so[ was] all the counsel of Ahithophel both with David and with Absalom.

In those days Ahithophel’s advice was considered as valuable as a prophetic revelation. Both David and Absalom highly regarded the advice of Ahithophel.

The counsel of Ahithophel, which he gave in those days, was as if a man inquired at the inner sanctuary of God. All the counsel of Ahithophel both was like this with David and with Absalom.

押沙龍獻祭的時候、打發人去將大衛的參謀基羅人亞希多弗從他本城基羅請了來。於是謀叛的派勢強大起來；隨從押沙龍的人民也越來越多。

亞希多弗見自己的計謀不蒙採納施行，就豫備了驢，往本城自己家去；立了遺囑理家事，便上吊死了；被埋葬在他父親的墳墓裏。

押沙龍和以色列眾人都說：『亞基人戶篩的計謀比亞希多弗的計謀更好。』這是因為永恆主命定要破壞亞希多弗的好計謀，為要降災禍於押沙龍的。

當那些時候，耶穌應時地說：『父啊，天地的主啊，我稱謝你，因為你將這些事向智慧通達的人隱藏起來，向嬰孩卻啓示了。

他對人說：「敬畏主、乃是智慧，遠離壞事便是明達。」』

因為這世界的智慧、在上帝看就是愚拙。如經上記着說：『上帝用智慧人自己的狡猾、去抓住他們』；又說：『主知道智慧人的理論是徒勞的。』

你們中間誰是有智慧有特長的呢？他應當以智慧之柔和、由好的為人指顯出他的行為來。你們若存着苦毒的妒忌和營私爭勝在心裏，別自己誇勝、作假事以敵真理了。這樣的智慧不是從上頭下來的，是屬地上、屬血氣、屬鬼魔的。哪裏有妒忌和營私爭勝，哪裏就有擾亂和各樣的壞事。惟獨從上頭來的智慧、第一是清潔，其次是和平、溫良、柔順，滿有憐恤和美善果子的，不含糊兩可、不假模假樣。並且正義之果子也是在和平中撒種、給締造和平的人收成的。

『因為我的人民愚妄，連我、他們也不認識；愚頑的兒女啊、他們！無知啊、他們！他們有智巧去作壞事，要怎樣行善、卻不曉得。』

主人就稱讚這不義的管家作事精明。因為對付自己的世代，今世之子竟比亮光之子更精明了。

智慧人必狼狽，必驚慌，必被捉住；看哪，永恆主的話他們竟棄絕了，他們心裏還有甚麼智慧呢？

大衛就求問永恆主說：『我可以追趕這羣匪幫麼？我追得上追不上呢？』永恆主對他說：『你可以追趕；一定追得上，並且一定搶救得來。』

若有人宣講，要做講上帝神諭的；若有人作服事的工，要本着上帝所供給的力量；叫上帝在凡事上藉着耶穌基督而得榮耀：榮耀和權能都屬於他、世世無窮。阿們。

他要侍立在祭司以利亞撒面前，以利亞撒要憑烏陵的判斷在永恆主面前為他求問，他和跟着的以色列眾人、全會眾、都要照以利亞撒所吩咐的而出，照以利亞撒所吩咐的而入。』

他們自稱為有智慧，反而成了愚拙，

死蒼蠅使作香物者的膏油發出臭氣；一點點愚昧比智慧和尊榮更有勢力。

我向你呼救，向你聖殿儘內堂舉手禱告時，願你聽我懇求的聲音。

他破壞狡猾人的計策，使他們的手展不出成功的謀略。

永恆主的律法完全，能使人精神甦醒；永恆主的法度確定，能使愚直人有智慧。
