大衛王來到耶路撒冷自己家裏，就把那十個女人、就是從前他留下來看家的妃嬪、放在看守所裏；供養她們，卻不進去找她們。她們就這樣被監禁去守活寡、直到死的日子。

他們之看情面作證控訴他們；他們的罪像所多瑪、他們都敘說出來，並不隱瞞。他們有禍啊！因為他們以災害賞報自己。

摩西和以色列人全會眾正在會棚出入處哭的時候，以色列人中忽然來了一個人，就在他們眼前、帶着一個米甸女人、來到他的族弟兄那裏。

有一天傍晚時分、大衛從床上起來，在王宮的房頂上來回地走；就從房頂上看見一個婦人在洗澡：那婦人容貌非常俊美。

他們的結局是滅亡；他們所事奉的神就是自己的肚子；他們所誇耀的是在於他們的羞恥；他們是意念着地上之事的人。

因此甘霖停止，春雨不降；你還有妓女面孔，不顧羞恥！

因為她所殺人流的血還在城中；她是將血潑在光溜溜的磐石上，不是倒在地上，用塵土去掩蓋的。

他們行了可厭惡的事、覺得慚愧麼？不，他們一點也不慚愧，也不知羞恥；因此他們必在仆倒的人中間仆倒；我察罰他們時、他們必致傾覆：這是永恆主說的。
