耶和华这样说：‘看哪！我必从你家中兴起祸患攻击你；我要在你的眼前把你的妃嫔拿去赐给你的同伴。他要在光天化日之下与她们同床。你在暗中行了这事，我却要在所有以色列人面前，在光天化日之下行这事报应你。’”

大卫王回到耶路撒冷自己的宫里，就把以前留下来看守王宫的那十个妃嫔捉起来，关在禁宫里。王供养她们，却不再亲近她们。她们被禁闭，过着寡妇一般的生活，直到死的日子。

他们面上的表情指证他们的不对；他们像所多玛一般宣扬自己的罪恶，并不隐瞒；他们有祸了，因为他们自招祸害。

摩西和以色列全体会众在会幕门口哭泣的时候，以色列人中有一个人来，当着他们的面带了一个米甸女子到自己的兄弟那里去。

有一天近黄昏的时候，大卫从床上起来，在王宫的平顶上散步。他从平顶上看见一个妇人在洗澡；这妇人容貌非常美丽。

他们的结局是灭亡，他们的神是自己的肚腹，他们以自己的羞辱为荣耀，所思想的都是地上的事。

所以甘霖停止，春雨不降；你还是一副妓女的面孔（“面孔”原文作“额”），不顾羞耻。

因为她所流的血还在城中；她把血泼在光滑的磐石上，不是倒在地上，被尘土掩盖。

耶和华说：‘他们行了可憎的事，本应觉得羞愧，可是他们一点羞愧都没有，恬不知耻。因此他们必仆倒在倒下的人中间；我惩罚他们的时候，他们必倒下来。
