When David arrived at the summit, where people used to worship God, Hushai the Arkite was there to meet him, his robe torn and dust on his head.

David arrived at the top of the Mount of Olives. That’s where people used to worship God. Hushai, the Arkite, was there to meet him. His robe was torn. There was dust on his head.

While David was coming to the summit, where God was worshiped, behold, Hushai the Archite came to meet him with his coat torn and dirt on his head.

When David reached the summit of the Mount of Olives where people worshiped God, Hushai the Arkite was waiting there for him. Hushai had torn his clothing and put dirt on his head as a sign of mourning.

又從伯特利到路斯，經過亞基人的境界亞他綠，

第三天，忽然有一個人從掃羅的營回來，衣服撕裂，頭上蒙灰。這人一來到大衛面前，就俯伏在地上叩拜他。

耶和華啊！你卻是我周圍的盾牌，是我的榮耀，是使我抬起頭來的。我發聲向耶和華呼求的時候，他就從他的聖山上回答我。（細拉）我躺下，我睡覺，我醒來，都因耶和華在扶持著我。

我公義的神啊（“我公義的神啊”或譯：“使我為義的神啊”）！我呼求的時候，求你答應我。我在困苦中，你曾使我舒暢。求你恩待我，聽我的禱告。尊貴的人啊！你們把我的榮耀變為羞辱，要到幾時呢？你們喜愛虛妄，追求虛謊，要到幾時呢？（細拉）你們要知道耶和華已經把虔誠人分別出來，歸他自己；我向耶和華呼求的時候，他就垂聽。

“如果你的子民出去與仇敵爭戰，無論你派他們到哪處，他們若是向你所揀選的這城，並向我為你的名建造的這殿禱告，求你在天上垂聽他們的禱告和懇求，為他們主持公道。

將到伯法其和伯大尼，就在橄欖山那裡，他差派兩個門徒，

大衛走上橄欖山；他蒙著頭，赤著腳，一邊上，一邊哭，所有與他在一起的人民也都蒙著頭，一邊上，一邊哭。

大衛的朋友亞基人戶篩去見押沙龍，對他說：“願王萬歲！願王萬歲！”押沙龍問戶篩：“你就以這樣的‘慈愛’待你的朋友嗎？你為甚麼沒有與你的朋友一同走呢？”戶篩回答押沙龍：“不！耶和華和這民，以及以色列眾人所揀選的，我應該歸屬他，與他在一起。再者，我要事奉誰呢？不是前王的兒子嗎？我以前怎樣事奉你的父親，我現在也必怎樣事奉你。”

那時，所羅門為摩押人可憎的偶像基抹和亞捫人可憎的偶像摩洛，在耶路撒冷東面的山上建造邱壇。

他瑪把塵土撒在自己的頭上，撕裂身上的長袖彩衣，又把一隻手放在頭上，一邊行走一邊哭叫。

他求告我，我必應允他；他在患難中，我必與他同在；我必拯救他，使他得尊榮。

於是約伯起來，撕裂外袍，剃了頭，俯伏在地上敬拜，說：“我赤身出於母胎，也必赤身歸去。賞賜的是耶和華，收回的也是耶和華；耶和華的名是應當稱頌的。”

耶和華啊！求你起來；我的神啊！求你拯救我，你擊打了我所有仇敵的臉頰，打碎了惡人的牙齒。

在患難的日子，你呼求我。我必搭救你，你也必尊敬我。”
