When David arrived at the summit, where people used to worship God, Hushai the Arkite was there to meet him, his robe torn and dust on his head.

David arrived at the top of the Mount of Olives. That’s where people used to worship God. Hushai, the Arkite, was there to meet him. His robe was torn. There was dust on his head.

While David was coming to the summit, where God was worshiped, behold, Hushai the Archite came to meet him with his coat torn and dirt on his head.

When David reached the summit of the Mount of Olives where people worshiped God, Hushai the Arkite was waiting there for him. Hushai had torn his clothing and put dirt on his head as a sign of mourning.

又从伯特利到路斯，经过亚基人的境界亚他绿，

第三天，忽然有一个人从扫罗的营回来，衣服撕裂，头上蒙灰。这人一来到大卫面前，就俯伏在地上叩拜他。

耶和华啊！你却是我周围的盾牌，是我的荣耀，是使我抬起头来的。我发声向耶和华呼求的时候，他就从他的圣山上回答我。（细拉）我躺下，我睡觉，我醒来，都因耶和华在扶持着我。

我公义的神啊（“我公义的神啊”或译：“使我为义的神啊”）！我呼求的时候，求你答应我。我在困苦中，你曾使我舒畅。求你恩待我，听我的祷告。尊贵的人啊！你们把我的荣耀变为羞辱，要到几时呢？你们喜爱虚妄，追求虚谎，要到几时呢？（细拉）你们要知道耶和华已经把虔诚人分别出来，归他自己；我向耶和华呼求的时候，他就垂听。

“如果你的子民出去与仇敌争战，无论你派他们到哪处，他们若是向你所拣选的这城，并向我为你的名建造的这殿祷告，求你在天上垂听他们的祷告和恳求，为他们主持公道。

将到伯法其和伯大尼，就在橄榄山那里，他差派两个门徒，

大卫走上橄榄山；他蒙着头，赤着脚，一边上，一边哭，所有与他在一起的人民也都蒙着头，一边上，一边哭。

大卫的朋友亚基人户筛去见押沙龙，对他说：“愿王万岁！愿王万岁！”押沙龙问户筛：“你就以这样的‘慈爱’待你的朋友吗？你为什么没有与你的朋友一同走呢？”户筛回答押沙龙：“不！耶和华和这民，以及以色列众人所拣选的，我应该归属他，与他在一起。再者，我要事奉谁呢？不是前王的儿子吗？我以前怎样事奉你的父亲，我现在也必怎样事奉你。”

那时，所罗门为摩押人可憎的偶像基抹和亚扪人可憎的偶像摩洛，在耶路撒冷东面的山上建造邱坛。

他玛把尘土撒在自己的头上，撕裂身上的长袖彩衣，又把一只手放在头上，一边行走一边哭叫。

他求告我，我必应允他；他在患难中，我必与他同在；我必拯救他，使他得尊荣。

于是约伯起来，撕裂外袍，剃了头，俯伏在地上敬拜，说：“我赤身出于母胎，也必赤身归去。赏赐的是耶和华，收回的也是耶和华；耶和华的名是应当称颂的。”

耶和华啊！求你起来；我的神啊！求你拯救我，你击打了我所有仇敌的脸颊，打碎了恶人的牙齿。

在患难的日子，你呼求我。我必搭救你，你也必尊敬我。”
