王對撒督說：「把神的約櫃抬回城去吧。如果我在耶和華眼前蒙恩，他必讓我回來，再看到約櫃和他的居所。

王謂撒督曰、舁上帝匱返城、若我蒙恩於耶和華前、必使我反、見匱及其居所、

Then the king said to Zadok,“ Take the ark of God back into the city. If I find favor in the Lord’s eyes, he will bring me back and let me see it and his dwelling place again.

Then the king said to Zadok,“ Take the ark of God back into the city. If the Lord is pleased with me, he’ll bring me back. He’ll let me see the ark again. He’ll also let me see Jerusalem again. That’s the place where he lives.

Then the king said to Zadok,“ Carry the ark of God back into the city. If I find favor in the eyes of the Lord, he will bring me back and let me see both it and his dwelling place.

Then the king instructed Zadok to take the Ark of God back into the city.“ If the Lord sees fit,” David said,“ he will bring me back to see the Ark and the Tabernacle again.

And the king said unto Zadok, Carry back the ark of God into the city: if I shall find favor in the eyes of Jehovah, he will bring me again, and show me both it, and his habitation:

Then the king said to Zadok,“ Take the ark of God back to the city. If I find favor in the LORD’s sight he will bring me back and enable me to see both it and his dwelling place again.

The king said to Zadok,“ Carry God’s ark back into the city. If I find favor in Yahweh’s eyes, he will bring me again, and show me both it, and his habitation;

“ As for you, you are to prophesy all these things to them, and say to them: The Lord roars from heaven; He raises His voice from His holy dwelling. He roars loudly over His grazing land; He calls out with a shout, like those who tread grapes, against all the inhabitants of the earth.

Better a day in Your courts than a thousand anywhere else. I would rather be at the door of the house of my God than to live in the tents of wicked people.

Lord, I love the house where You dwell, the place where Your glory resides.

Send Your light and Your truth; let them lead me. Let them bring me to Your holy mountain, to Your dwelling place.Then I will come to the altar of God, to God, my greatest joy. I will praise You with the lyre, God, my God.

You will lead the people You have redeemed with Your faithful love; You will guide them to Your holy dwelling with Your strength.

How lovely is Your dwelling place, Lord of Hosts.I long and yearn for the courts of the Lord; my heart and flesh cry out for the living God.Even a sparrow finds a home, and a swallow, a nest for herself where she places her young— near Your altars, Lord of Hosts, my King and my God.

Because of the house of the Lord our God, I will seek your good.

Do not trust deceitful words, chanting: This is the temple of the Lord, the temple of the Lord, the temple of the Lord.

As a deer longs for streams of water, so I long for You, God.I thirst for God, the living God. When can I come and appear before God?

They brought the ark of the Lord and set it in its place inside the tent David had set up for it. Then David offered burnt offerings and fellowship offerings in the Lord’s presence.

I rejoiced with those who said to me,“ Let us go to the house of the Lord.”

When the troops returned to the camp, the elders of Israel asked,“ Why did the Lord let us be defeated today by the Philistines? Let’s bring the ark of the Lord’s covenant from Shiloh. Then it will go with us and save us from the hand of our enemies.”So the people sent men to Shiloh to bring back the ark of the covenant of the Lord of Hosts, who dwells between the cherubim. Eli’s two sons, Hophni and Phinehas, were there with the ark of the covenant of God.When the ark of the covenant of the Lord entered the camp, all the Israelites raised such a loud shout that the ground shook.The Philistines heard the sound of the war cry and asked,“ What’s this loud shout in the Hebrews’ camp?” When the Philistines discovered that the ark of the Lord had entered the camp,they panicked.“ The gods have entered their camp!” they said.“ Woe to us, nothing like this has happened before.Woe to us, who will rescue us from the hand of these magnificent gods? These are the gods that slaughtered the Egyptians with all kinds of plagues in the wilderness.Show some courage and be men, Philistines! Otherwise, you’ll serve the Hebrews just as they served you. Now be men and fight!”So the Philistines fought, and Israel was defeated, and each man fled to his tent. The slaughter was severe— 30,000 of the Israelite foot soldiers fell.The ark of God was captured, and Eli’s two sons, Hophni and Phinehas, died.

the king said to Nathan the prophet,“ Look, I am living in a cedar house while the ark of God sits inside tent curtains.”

And Hezekiah had asked,“ What is the sign that I will go up to the Lord’s temple?”

I have asked one thing from the Lord; it is what I desire: to dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, gazing on the beauty of the Lord and seeking Him in His temple.For He will conceal me in His shelter in the day of adversity; He will hide me under the cover of His tent; He will set me high on a rock.

Now therefore, the sword will never leave your house because you despised Me and took the wife of Uriah the Hittite to be your own wife.’“ This is what the Lord says,‘ I am going to bring disaster on you from your own family: I will take your wives and give them to another before your very eyes, and he will sleep with them publicly.

God, You are my God; I eagerly seek You. I thirst for You; my body faints for You in a land that is dry, desolate, and without water.So I gaze on You in the sanctuary to see Your strength and Your glory.
