王對撒督說：「你把上帝的約櫃運回城去吧。倘若耶和華恩待我，祂必使我重返家園，重見約櫃和會幕；

王對撒督說：“把神的約櫃抬回城裡去吧！我若是在耶和華眼前蒙恩，他必使我回來再看到約櫃和他安居的地方。

王對撒督說：『你將上帝的櫃抬回城去；我若在永恆主眼前蒙恩，他就會使我回來、再見那櫃和他的居所。

王對撒督說：「把神的約櫃抬回城去吧。如果我在耶和華眼前蒙恩，他必讓我回來，再看到約櫃和他的居所。

王謂撒督曰、舁上帝匱返城、若我蒙恩於耶和華前、必使我反、見匱及其居所、

王謂撒督曰、舁上帝之匱入城、如我蒙恩於耶和華前、則將使我反、見匱亦見聖幕。

王謂撒督曰、舁天主匱歸於邑、如我蒙恩於主前、則將使我返、使我復見之、與其居所、

Then the king said to Zadok,“ Take the ark of God back into the city. If I find favor in the Lord’s eyes, he will bring me back and let me see it and his dwelling place again.

Then the king said to Zadok,“ Take the ark of God back into the city. If the Lord is pleased with me, he’ll bring me back. He’ll let me see the ark again. He’ll also let me see Jerusalem again. That’s the place where he lives.

Then the king said to Zadok,“ Carry the ark of God back into the city. If I find favor in the eyes of the Lord, he will bring me back and let me see both it and his dwelling place.

Then the king instructed Zadok to take the Ark of God back into the city.“ If the Lord sees fit,” David said,“ he will bring me back to see the Ark and the Tabernacle again.

Then the king instructed Zadok,“ Return the ark of God to the city. If I find favor with the LORD, he will bring me back and allow me to see both it and its dwelling place.

And the king said to Zadok,“ Return the ark of God to the city. If I find favor in the sight of the Lord, then He will bring me back and show me both it and His habitation.

Then the king said to Zadok,“ Carry the ark of God back into the city. If I find favor in the eyes of the Lord, He will bring me back and show me both it and His dwelling place.

And the king said unto Zadok, Carry back the ark of God into the city: if I shall find favor in the eyes of Jehovah, he will bring me again, and show me both it, and his habitation:

Then the king instructed Zadok,“ Return the ark of God to the city. If I find favor in the Lord’s eyes, He will bring me back and allow me to see both it and its dwelling place.

And the king said unto Zadok, Carry back the ark of God into the city: if I shall find favour in the eyes of the LORD, he will bring me again, and shew me[ both] it, and his habitation:

Then the king said to Zadok,“ Take the ark of God back to the city. If I find favor in the LORD’s sight he will bring me back and enable me to see both it and his dwelling place again.

The king said to Zadok,“ Carry God’s ark back into the city. If I find favor in Yahweh’s eyes, he will bring me again, and show me both it, and his habitation;

耶利米啊，你要告訴他們這些預言，『耶和華要在高天怒吼，從祂的聖所發出雷鳴；祂要向祂的子民怒吼，向地上的居民吶喊，好像踩踏葡萄的人一樣。

在你的院宇住一日勝過在別處住千日！我寧願在我上帝的殿中看門，也不願住在惡人的帳篷裡。

耶和華啊，我愛你的殿，你榮耀充滿的地方。

求你以光明和真理引導我，領我到你的聖山，到你的居所。我要到上帝的祭壇前，到賜我喜樂的上帝面前。上帝啊，我的上帝，我要彈琴讚美你。

你以不變的愛引領你所救贖的子民，以大能帶他們進入你的聖所。

萬軍之耶和華啊，你的居所多麼美好！我深願進入耶和華的院宇，我的身心向永活的上帝歡呼。萬軍之耶和華，我的王我的上帝啊，在你的祭壇邊，麻雀找到了家，燕子築巢養育幼雛。

為了我們的上帝耶和華的殿，我要為你求福祉。

你們不要相信那些謊言，說這是耶和華的殿，這是耶和華的殿，這是耶和華的殿。

上帝啊，我的心切慕你，像鹿切慕溪水。我心裡渴慕上帝，渴慕永活的上帝，我何時才能去朝拜祂呢？

他們把耶和華的約櫃抬來，安放在大衛準備好的帳篷裡。大衛在耶和華面前獻上燔祭和平安祭，

人們對我說：「讓我們去耶和華的殿吧！」我感到歡喜。

軍隊回營後，以色列的長老說：「為什麼今天耶和華使我們敗在非利士人手下？我們從示羅把耶和華的約櫃抬來吧，讓它與我們同去，好從仇敵手中救我們。」於是，他們派人去示羅把那坐在基路伯天使上的萬軍之耶和華的約櫃抬來。以利的兩個兒子何弗尼和非尼哈也隨上帝的約櫃同來。以色列人看見耶和華的約櫃到了營中，就高聲歡呼，聲音震天動地。非利士人聽見了喊聲就說：「希伯來人在營中喊什麼？」後來他們知道是耶和華的約櫃到了營中，就害怕起來，說：「有神明到了他們營中，我們大禍臨頭了，我們從來沒有遇過這種事情！我們大禍臨頭了！誰能從這些大能的神明手中救我們？在曠野用各種災禍毀滅埃及人的就是這些神明。非利士人啊，要剛強，做大丈夫。不然，我們就會成為希伯來人的奴隸，像他們做我們的奴隸一樣。我們要做大丈夫，奮力征戰。」非利士人和以色列人交戰，以色列人敗下陣來，紛紛逃回家中。他們傷亡慘重，損失了三萬步兵。上帝的約櫃被擄走了，以利的兩個兒子何弗尼和非尼哈被殺身亡。

一天，王對拿單先知說：「你看！我住在香柏木造的王宮中，但上帝的約櫃還留在帳篷裡。」

希西迦問：「有什麼兆頭能證明我可以再上耶和華的殿嗎？」

我曾向耶和華求一件事，我還要求，就是能一生住在祂的殿中，瞻仰祂的榮美，尋求祂的旨意。危難之時，祂保護我，把我藏在祂的聖幕裡，高高地安置在磐石上。

因為你藐視我，把赫人烏利亞的妻子據為己有，從今以後，殺戮流血的事必永不離開你的家。』耶和華說，『我要在你家中降下災禍，我要當著你的面把你的妻妾交給你的近臣，他必在光天化日之下與她們行淫。

上帝啊，你是我的上帝，我迫切地尋求你！在乾旱荒涼之地，我的心渴慕你，渴慕你！我曾在你的聖所瞻仰你的榮面，目睹你的權能和榮耀。
