Zadok was there, too, and all the Levites who were with him were carrying the ark of the covenant of God. They set down the ark of God, and Abiathar offered sacrifices until all the people had finished leaving the city.

And Abiathar came up, and behold, Zadok came also with all the Levites, bearing the ark of the covenant of God. And they set down the ark of God until the people had all passed out of the city.

讓七個祭司拿著七個羊角號走在約櫃前面。到了第七天，你們要繞城七圈，祭司要吹響號角。

上帝的約櫃被擄走了，以利的兩個兒子何弗尼和非尼哈被殺身亡。

「你去吩咐抬約櫃的祭司從約旦河裡上來。」約書亞便吩咐他們上來。抬耶和華約櫃的祭司從河床上來，腳剛一踏上岸，約旦河的水立刻恢復了原狀，像以往一樣漲過兩岸。

「你們看見做祭司的利未人抬著你們上帝耶和華的約櫃出發時，就要起身跟在後面。

這塊地要歸給撒督的子孫——忠心事奉我的聖潔祭司。當以色列人和利未人走入歧途時，他們沒有與之同流合污。

你是個有先見之明的人，安心帶著你的兒子亞希瑪斯和亞比亞他的兒子約拿單回城吧。

軍隊回營後，以色列的長老說：「為什麼今天耶和華使我們敗在非利士人手下？我們從示羅把耶和華的約櫃抬來吧，讓它與我們同去，好從仇敵手中救我們。」於是，他們派人去示羅把那坐在基路伯天使上的萬軍之耶和華的約櫃抬來。以利的兩個兒子何弗尼和非尼哈也隨上帝的約櫃同來。以色列人看見耶和華的約櫃到了營中，就高聲歡呼，聲音震天動地。

不過，撒督祭司、耶何耶大的兒子比拿雅、拿單先知、示每、利以和大衛的勇士卻沒有跟隨他。

以下是他的眾臣僕：撒督的兒子亞撒利雅做祭司；示沙的兒子以利何烈和亞希亞做書記；亞希律的兒子約沙法做史官；耶何耶大的兒子比拿雅做元帥；撒督和亞比亞他做祭司長；

約書亞又對祭司說：「抬起約櫃，率領民眾過河吧！」他們就抬起約櫃，走在民眾前面。

大衛說：「除了利未人以外，誰也不可抬上帝的約櫃，因為耶和華只揀選他們抬上帝的約櫃，永遠事奉祂。」

摩西沒有把供物分給哥轄的子孫，因為他們要用肩扛所負責的聖物。

祭司撒督和亞比亞他都在那裡，你在宮內聽到什麼消息就告訴他們。

亞希突生撒督，撒督生亞希瑪斯，亞希瑪斯生亞撒利雅，亞撒利雅生約哈難，約哈難生亞撒利雅——這亞撒利雅在耶路撒冷所羅門建的聖殿裡任祭司，亞撒利雅生亞瑪利雅，亞瑪利雅生亞希突，亞希突生撒督，撒督生沙龍，

嫩的兒子約書亞便召來祭司，對他們說：「你們抬起約櫃，派七位祭司拿著七個羊角號走在耶和華的約櫃前面。」

王委派耶何耶大的兒子比拿雅替代約押為元帥，命撒督祭司代替亞比亞他。

這一次，抬耶和華約櫃的人走了六步，大衛就獻上公牛和肥犢為祭。
