王說：『這一切話莫非有約押的手幫着你麼？』婦人回答說：『我主我王啊，我指着你的性命來起誓：對我主我王所說的這一切、是沒有人能偏左偏右的：這確是王的僕人約押吩咐我的；這一切話是他口授給你婢女的。

王说：“你这些话莫非是约押的主意吗？”妇人说：“我敢在我主我王面前起誓：王的话正对，不偏左右，是王的仆人约押吩咐我的，这些话是他教导我的。

王说：“这一切莫非是约押的手指使你的吗？”妇人回答说：“我敢在我主我王面前起誓：我主我王所说的一切不偏左右，这是王的仆人约押吩咐我的，这一切话是他放在婢女口中的。

王说：“这一切莫非是约押的手指使你的吗？”妇人回答说：“我敢在我主我王面前起誓：我主我王所说的一切不偏左右，这是王的仆人约押吩咐我的，这一切话是他放在婢女口中的。

王说：“这是不是约押的主意？”妇人说：“我敢在我主我王面前发誓，王所说的一点不错，这些话是你臣仆约押吩咐婢女说的。

王问：“这一切都是约押一手安排的吗？”妇人回答：“我指着我主我王起誓，王所说的丝毫不差。这正是王的仆人约押吩咐我的，这一切话也都是他教婢女说的。

王說：「你這些話莫非是約押的主意嗎？」婦人說：「我敢在我主我王面前起誓：王的話正對，不偏左右，是王的僕人約押吩咐我的，這些話是他教導我的。

王說：「這一切莫非是約押的手指使你的嗎？」婦人回答說：「我敢在我主我王面前起誓：我主我王所說的一切不偏左右，這是王的僕人約押吩咐我的，這一切話是他放在婢女口中的。

王說：「這是不是約押的主意？」婦人說：「我敢在我主我王面前發誓，王所說的一點不錯，這些話是你臣僕約押吩咐婢女說的。

王問：“這一切都是約押一手安排的嗎？”婦人回答：“我指著我主我王起誓，王所說的絲毫不差。這正是王的僕人約押吩咐我的，這一切話也都是他教婢女說的。

王就問：「這一切都是約押一手安排的嗎？」婦人回答說：「我指著我主我王的生命起誓：我主我王所說的一切不偏左右，正是你的臣僕約押吩咐我的，是他把這一切話教給了你的婢女。

王曰、此事非約押與爾同謀乎、婦曰、我主我王歟、我指爾生命以誓、我主我王所言、無人能左右轉移之、蓋爾僕約押命我、以此言授婢、

王曰、爾之言此、非為約押所使乎。婦曰、我主我王歟、我指爾生命以誓、我主我王、所言確然、弗爽毫釐、爾臣僕約押囑我言。

婦曰、我指我主我王之生命而誓、我主我王之言確然、無人能或左或右非之、王之僕約押命婢、約押以此諸言教婢、以此諸言教婢原文作以此諸言授婢口

The king asked,“ Isn’t the hand of Joab with you in all this?” The woman answered,“ As surely as you live, my lord the king, no one can turn to the right or to the left from anything my lord the king says. Yes, it was your servant Joab who instructed me to do this and who put all these words into the mouth of your servant.

The king asked,“ Joab told you to say all of this, didn’t he?” The woman answered,“ What you have told me is exactly right. And that’s just as sure as you are alive. It’s true that Joab directed me to do this. He told me everything he wanted me to say.

The king said,“ Is the hand of Joab with you in all this?” The woman answered and said,“ As surely as you live, my lord the king, one cannot turn to the right hand or to the left from anything that my lord the king has said. It was your servant Joab who commanded me; it was he who put all these words in the mouth of your servant.

“ Did Joab put you up to this?” And the woman replied,“ My lord the king, how can I deny it? Nobody can hide anything from you. Yes, Joab sent me and told me what to say.

The king asked,“ Did Joab put you up to all this?” The woman answered.“ As you live, my lord the king, no one can turn to the right or left from all my lord the king says. Yes, your servant Joab is the one who gave orders to me; he told your servant exactly what to say.

So the king said,“ Is the hand of Joab with you in all this?” And the woman replied,“ As your soul lives, my lord the king, no one can turn to the right or to the left from anything that my lord the king has spoken. Indeed, it was your servant Joab who commanded me, and it was he who put all these words in the mouth of your servant.

So the king said,“ Is the hand of Joab with you in all this?” And the woman answered and said,“ As you live, my Lord the king, no one can turn to the right hand or to the left from anything that my Lord the king has spoken. For your servant Joab commanded me, and he put all these words in the mouth of your maidservant.

And the king said, Is the hand of Joab with thee in all this? And the woman answered and said, As thy soul liveth, my lord the king, none can turn to the right hand or to the left from aught that my lord the king hath spoken; for thy servant Joab, he bade me, and he put all these words in the mouth of thy handmaid;

The king asked,“ Did Joab put you up to all this?” The woman answered.“ As you live, my lord the king, no one can turn to the right or left from all my lord the king says. Yes, your servant Joab is the one who gave orders to me; he told your servant exactly what to say.

And the king said,[ Is not] the hand of Joab with thee in all this? And the woman answered and said,[ As] thy soul liveth, my lord the king, none can turn to the right hand or to the left from ought that my lord the king hath spoken: for thy servant Joab, he bade me, and he put all these words in the mouth of thine handmaid:

The king said,“ Did Joab put you up to all of this?” The woman answered,“ As surely as you live, my lord the king, there is no deviation to the right or to the left from all that my lord the king has said. For your servant Joab gave me instructions. He has put all these words in your servant’s mouth.

The king said,“ Is the hand of Joab with you in all this?” The woman answered,“ As your soul lives, my lord the king, no one can turn to the right hand or to the left from anything that my lord the king has spoken; for your servant Joab urged me, and he put all these words in the mouth of your servant.

然後進去見王，照以下這樣的話對他說』：約押隨即將當說的話口授給那婦人。

婦人說：『哦，我主啊，我敢指着我主的性命來起誓，從前在這裏站在你旁邊、向永恆主祈禱的那婦人就是我。

因為是我要賜給你們口才和智慧，就是一切敵對你們的人所不能反對或辯駁的。

『並且你也知道洗魯雅的兒子約押向我所行的：他怎樣待以色列的兩個將軍，尼珥的兒子押尼珥、和益帖的兒子亞瑪撒，將他們殺死；怎樣在太平之時報戰時所流之血的仇，使我腰間所束的帶、我腳上所穿的鞋、都染了戰時無辜的血。所以你要憑你的智慧而行，不要容他白髮蒼蒼安安然地下陰間。

不可偏向右或偏向左；要使你的腳遠離壞事。

掃羅看見大衛出陣去和那非利士人接戰，就問軍長押尼珥說：『押尼珥啊，這個青年人是誰的兒子？』押尼珥說：『王啊，我指着你的性命來起誓，我若知道，我就該死。』

你的手未曾被捆綁；你的腳未曾被銅鍊鎖住；你的仆倒、竟如人在橫暴之輩面前仆倒一樣！』於是眾民繼續為押尼珥哀哭。

到了早晨、大衛寫信給約押，由烏利亞經手送去。信裏寫着說：『要派烏利亞到前面戰事劇烈的地方，你們便退到他後邊，讓他被擊殺而死。』

求你容我們從你的地經過；我們不從田地和葡萄園經過，也不喝井裏的水，我們只走王家大道，不偏向右、也不偏向左，直到你的地界都經過了。』

願這罪責盤旋在約押頭上、和他父系全家；又願約押家不斷有患漏症的、患痲瘋屬之病的、架柺而行的、倒斃於刀下的、缺乏食物的。』

我主啊，永恆主既阻止了你犯到流人血的罪，阻止了你親手為自己復仇，如今我指着永活的永恆主、也指着與你活着的性命、來起誓：如今我願你的仇敵和謀害你的人、都像拿八一樣。

以利亞對以利沙說：『永恆主差遣我就到伯特利那裏；你請在這裏等候着。』以利沙說：『我指着永活的永恆主、也指着你自己的性命、來起誓，我一定不離開你。』二人就下到伯特利。

不偏離我今日所吩咐你們的一切話，而偏右偏左，去隨從別的神、而事奉他們，就必如此。

押尼珥回到希伯崙，約押領他轉到城門的甕洞裏，彷彿要和他說機密話的樣子，就在那裏刺透他的五臟，他便死了：這是為他兄弟亞撒黑報血仇的。

你只要剛強，大大壯膽，謹慎遵行我僕人摩西所吩咐你的一切律法，不可偏於右、或偏於左，好使你無論往哪裏去都得亨通。

大衛回答說：『你父親準知道你跟我好；故此他心裏說：「不如不叫約拿單知道這事，恐怕他擔憂。」雖然如此，我指着永活的永恆主、也指着你的性命來起誓：我與死之間、只有一步之隔罷了。』

你要對他說話，將話語傳給他：我一定賜給你口才，也賜給他口才，指教你所應當行的事。

所以你們要照永恆主你們的上帝所吩咐的謹慎遵行，不可偏於右，或偏於左。

烏利亞對大衛說：『上帝的櫃和以色列兵猶大兵都住在草棚裏；我主約押和我主上的僕人都在野外紮營；而我、我回家去喫喝、去和妻子同寢麼？我指着永活的永恆主、也指着你的性命來起誓，我決不這樣行。』
