我犯罪得罪的乃是你，就只是你，是在你眼前行了這壞事，以致你下判語時顯為公義，你判罰時顯為清正。唉，我是在罪孽中生的；在罪惡中我母親孕懷了我。

這件事上帝看為大壞事，故此他擊打了以色列人。

那麼、和她同寢的那人就要把五十錠銀子給那少女的父親；那少女便要歸那人為妻，因為他已經玷辱了她；儘他一生的日子、他都不能把她打發走。

大衛在希伯崙生了幾個兒子：他的長子暗嫩、是耶斯列人亞希暖生的；他的第二個兒子基利押、是那作過迦密人拿八的妻子亞比該生的；第三的押沙龍、是基述王達買的女兒瑪迦生的；第四的亞多尼雅、是哈及生的；第五的示法提雅、是亞比他生的；第六的以特念、是大衛的妻子以格拉生的。以上這些兒子都是大衛在希伯崙生的。

大衛從希伯崙來了以後、又從耶路撒冷娶了妃嬪，生了兒女。以下是他在耶路撒冷所生的孩子的名字：沙母亞、朔罷、拿單、所羅門、益轄、以利書亞、尼斐、雅非亞、以利沙瑪、以利雅大、以利法列。
