但是我告诉你们：所有怀着欲念看女人的，就已经在心里和她通奸了。

第二天，当他们赶路快到约帕的时候，大约中午十二点，彼得上屋顶去祷告。

你心里不要贪爱她的美色，也不要被她的眼帘勾引。

女人见那棵树的果实作为食物很好，又悦人眼目，并且因使人有智慧而令人喜爱，就摘下果实吃了，还给了与她在一起的丈夫，她丈夫也吃了。

求你使我转眼不看虚妄的事，使我在你的道路上存活。

再睡一会儿，再打盹一会儿，再抱着双手躺一会儿，你的贫穷就会像强盗来到，你的缺乏就会像拿兵器的人来到。

妩媚是虚假的，美貌是虚幻的；唯有敬畏耶和华的女子必受称赞。

由此可见，我们不要像其他人那样睡着了，而要警醒、谨慎。因为睡觉的人是在夜里睡，醉酒的人是在夜里醉。

耶稣回到门徒们那里，看见他们睡着了，就对彼得说：“你们怎么就不能与我一同警醒一个小时呢？要警醒祷告，免得陷入试探。你们心灵虽然愿意，肉体却是软弱的。”

神的儿子们看到人的女儿们美丽，就从中任意挑选，为自己娶来为妻。

万物的结局临近了，所以你们为了祷告的缘故应当清醒、谨慎。

懒惰使人陷入沉睡，懒散的人必会挨饿。

那地的族长希未人哈抹的儿子示剑看见她，就抓住她，与她同睡，玷辱了她。

我在暗中告诉你们的，你们要在明处说出来；你们在耳边听到的，要在屋顶上宣扬出去。

然后他们从高所下来进城，撒母耳与扫罗在屋顶上说话。

他把自己所拥有的一切都交托在约瑟的手中；有约瑟在，他除了自己吃的饭以外，什么事都不理会。约瑟有着健美的身材、俊美的容貌。
