予昔親自為汝行覆手之禮、汝即受有天主之寵光、務望將斯寵光、重復燃起、令其煥然一新。

吾雖明知爾之有知、且於爾所受之真道上亦卓爾有立、而猶不憚諄諄予爾以提撕者、蓋吾一日寓此塵宅、即一日有予爾激發之天職；且知吾之脫離此宅、即在目前、正如吾主耶穌之所預示也。不寧惟是、吾必欲使爾於吾去世以後、亦隨在留意此訓也。

覆手之禮、不可輕率行之、庶免同承其咎。務須守身如玉、涅而不緇。

耶穌基督宗徒伯鐸祿、致書於客居本多、加拉大、加巴道濟亞、亞細亞、彼底尼亞各地、蒙天主聖父按預知而拔擢、因聖神而成聖、服膺恩命、而霑濡耶穌基督寶血之眾兄弟曰：願恩寵康寧、錫爾不匱、日進無疆。

今者爾之靈魂、已因服膺聖道而致潔矣；應能身體誠實無妄之愛德也。務望一秉赤誠、彼此相愛。

天主待吾族。恩遇豈云薄。但能抱精一。莫不承優渥。

其惟純德。心跡雙清。無愧無怍。

心地光明乃真福、主必賜以承顏樂。

曩者與爾晤時、予曾告諸犯罪者及其他同人、予若重來、決不有所優容。今方暌隔、亦欲一申舊命、莫謂言之不預也。
