觀此可見天主固知何以脫善人於危難、而將惡人留待審判之日、以受顯罰。

你們所受的試探，無非是人受得起的；神是信實的，他必不容許你們受試探過於你們承受得起的，而且在受試探的時候，必定給你們開一條出路，使你們能忍受得住。

耶和華的眼睛看顧義人，他的耳朵垂聽他們的呼求。耶和華的臉敵對作惡的人，要把他們的名從世上除掉。義人哀求，耶和華就垂聽，搭救他們脫離一切患難，耶和華親近心中破碎的人，拯救靈裡痛悔的人，義人雖有許多苦難，但耶和華搭救他脫離這一切。

你既然遵守了我忍耐的道，我也必定保守你脫離那試煉的時候；這就是那將要臨到普天下，來試煉住在地上的人的時候。

其實，所有立志在基督耶穌裡過敬虔生活的，都必遭受迫害。

但現在的天地，還是因著同樣的話可以存留，直到不敬虔的人受審判和遭滅亡的日子，用火焚燒。

亞當的第七世孫以諾，也曾經預言這些人說：“看，主必同他的千萬聖者降臨，要審判眾人，又要定所有不敬虔的人的罪，因為他們妄行各樣不敬虔的事，並且說了種種剛愎的話頂撞神。”

他為我們捨己，為的是要救贖我們脫離一切不法的事，並且潔淨我們作他自己的子民，熱心善工。

因為我們眾人都必須在基督的審判臺前顯露出來，使各人按著本身所行的，或善或惡，受到報應。我們既然知道主是可畏的，就勸勉眾人。我們在神面前是顯明的，我盼望在你們的良心裡也是顯明的。

耶和華所造的各有目的，連惡人也是為禍患的日子而造的。

神沒有姑息犯罪的天使，反而把他們丟入地獄，囚禁在幽暗的坑裡，等候審判。

你六次遭遇患難，他都救拔你，就算第七次，災禍也傷不了你。

可是你一直硬著心腸，不肯悔改，為自己積蓄神的忿怒，就是他彰顯公義審判的那天所要發的忿怒。

你們要知道耶和華已經把虔誠人分別出來，歸他自己；我向耶和華呼求的時候，他就垂聽。

就是惡人在災難的日子得存留，在神發怒的時候得逃脫。

耶和華啊！求你施行拯救，因為虔誠人沒有了，在世人中的信實人也不見了。

因此，凡是敬虔的人，都當趁你可尋找的時候，向你禱告；大水氾濫的時候，必不能達到他那裡。
