觀此可見天主固知何以脫善人於危難、而將惡人留待審判之日、以受顯罰。

你們遇見的誘惑無非是人們常見的。上帝是信實的，祂絕不會讓你們遇見無法抵擋的誘惑，祂必為你們開一條出路，使你們經得住誘惑。

耶和華的眼睛看顧義人，祂的耳朵垂聽他們的呼求。耶和華嚴懲作惡之人，從世上剷除他們。義人向耶和華呼救，祂就垂聽，拯救他們脫離一切患難。祂安慰悲痛欲絕的人，拯救心靈破碎的人。義人也會遭遇許多患難，但耶和華必拯救他，

因為你遵守我有關堅忍的教導，所以當將來的試煉臨到全人類的時候，我必使你免受磨難。

其實凡立志在基督耶穌裡過敬虔生活的人都會受到迫害。

同樣，現在的天地要憑上帝的話語存留到不敬虔的人被審判和毀滅的日子，那時天地要被火焚燒。

亞當的第七代子孫以諾曾經針對這些人說預言：「看啊！主率領祂千萬的聖者一同降臨，要審判所有的人，按不虔不敬的罪人所行的惡事和他們褻瀆上帝的話定他們的罪。」

主耶穌為我們犧牲自己，要救贖我們脫離一切罪惡，並潔淨我們，使我們作祂的子民，成為熱心行善的人。

因為我們所有的人都要出現在基督的審判台前，好按照各人在肉身之時所行的善惡接受賞罰。我們知道主當受敬畏，所以勸人歸信祂。我們的內心如何，上帝知道，我盼望你們的良心也知道。

耶和華所造的萬物各有其用，連惡人也是為災難之日所造。

即使天使犯了罪，上帝也沒有容忍他們，而是把他們丟在地獄裡，囚在幽暗的深坑等候審判。

六次遭難，祂都救你；第七次，災禍也傷不到你。

你這樣硬著心不肯悔改等於是為自己積蓄烈怒，上帝的烈怒在祂施行公義審判的那天必臨到你。

要知道，耶和華已經把敬虔人分別出來，使之聖潔，歸祂自己。祂必垂聽我的祈求。

就是惡人在災難之日得到倖免，在上帝發怒之日得以逃脫。

耶和華啊，求你救我們！因為世上的敬虔人不見了，忠信的人在人間消失了。

因此，趁著還能尋求你的時候，凡敬虔的人都當向你禱告；洪水氾濫時，就沒有機會了。
