因為義人羅得住在他們當中，天天耳聞目睹他們一切無法無天的醜行，他正直的心很痛苦。

（因所看所聽的、其正義之心天天因罪人的不法行為而受苦痛）——

因為這義人住在他們中間，看見又聽見他們的不法行為，他公義的心天天受到折磨——

蓋此義者居其中、且見且聞、以其不法之行、日傷公義之心、

蓋義者與彼同處、見其敗亂矩矱、無日不憂、

蓋此義人居於彼中、目見耳聞其非法之事、傷其義心、

蓋羅德以正直之身、處於群小之中、所見所聞、莫非橫行無道、中心惄焉如擣、無有寧日也。

( for that righteous man, living among them day after day, was tormented in his righteous soul by the lawless deeds he saw and heard)—

That good man lived among them day after day. He saw and heard the evil things they were doing. They were breaking God’s laws. And the godly spirit of Lot was deeply troubled.

Yes, Lot was a righteous man who was tormented in his soul by the wickedness he saw and heard day after day.

( for by what he saw and heard that righteous man, while living among them, felt his righteous soul tormented day after day by their lawless deeds),

( for that righteous man, dwelling among them, tormented his righteous soul from day to day by seeing and hearing their lawless deeds)—

( for that righteous man dwelling among them, in seeing and hearing, vexed his righteous soul from day to day with their lawless deeds):

( for as he lived among them, that righteous man tormented himself day by day with the lawless deeds he saw and heard)—

( For that righteous man dwelling among them, in seeing and hearing, vexed[ his] righteous soul from day to day with[ their] unlawful deeds;)

( for while he lived among them day after day, that righteous man was tormented in his righteous soul by the lawless deeds he saw and heard)

我厭惡這些背棄你的人，因為他們不遵行你的話。

我淚流成河，因為人們不遵行你的律法。

對他說：「你去走遍耶路撒冷，在那些因城中可憎之事而歎息哀傷的人額上畫個記號。」

義人向惡人低頭，就像清泉被攪渾，水井受污染。

如今我們稱狂傲的人有福，因為作惡的人凡事順利，他們雖然試探上帝，卻仍能逃過災禍。』」那時，敬畏耶和華的彼此交談，耶和華必留心傾聽，祂面前的紀念冊上記錄著敬畏祂和尊崇祂名的人。萬軍之耶和華說：「到我所定的日子，他們必成為我寶貴的產業，我要憐憫他們，如同父親憐憫他的孝順兒子。

我看見仇敵漠視你的話語，就心急如焚。

義人得勝，遍地歡騰；惡人當道，人人躲藏。

將男女老幼全部殺盡，但你們不能傷害額上有記號的。你們要從聖所開始。」於是他們首先殺了殿前的眾長老。

因為律法並不是為義人設的，而是為了對付那些目無法紀、大逆不道、不敬畏上帝、犯罪作惡、不聖潔、貪戀世俗、謀殺父母、行兇害命、

所以你們要彼此認罪，互相代禱，好得到醫治。義人的禱告有極大的力量和功效。
