這些人在你們的愛宴中是敗類。他們肆無忌憚地吃喝，是只顧餵養自己的牧人；是沒有雨的雲，隨風飄蕩；是深秋不結果子的樹，被連根拔起，徹底枯死。他們是海中的狂濤，翻動著自己可恥的泡沫，是流蕩的星星，有幽幽黑暗永遠留給他們。亞當的第七代子孫以諾曾經針對這些人說預言：「看啊！主率領祂千萬的聖者一同降臨，要審判所有的人，按不虔不敬的罪人所行的惡事和他們褻瀆上帝的話定他們的罪。」這些人滿腹牢騷，怨天尤人，放縱自己的邪情私慾。他們口出狂言，為了謀利而阿諛奉承他人。

如今你們不再和他們同流合污，他們覺得奇怪，就用惡言毀謗你們。

她怎樣待人，你們也要怎樣待她，要按她所做的加倍地報應她，用她調酒的杯加倍地調給她喝。

他們的神就是自己的肚腹，他們以自己的羞恥為榮，只想著地上的事，他們的結局是滅亡。

因為睡覺的人是在夜裡睡，醉酒的人是在夜裡醉。我們既屬於白晝，就應當保持清醒，要把信心和愛心當作護心鏡遮胸，把得救的盼望當作頭盔戴上。

你們聚會的時候，不是在吃主的晚餐。因為你們進餐的時候，各人只顧吃自己的，結果有些人挨餓，有些人醉酒。難道你們不可以在家裡吃喝嗎？還是你們輕看上帝的教會，存心羞辱那些貧窮的弟兄姊妹呢？我該說什麼呢？稱讚你們嗎？不可能！

以便把聖潔、完美、沒有污點、皺紋等瑕疵的榮耀教會呈獻給祂自己。
