The more you grow like this, the more productive and useful you will be in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

爾有此而擴充之、則必使爾於識我主耶穌基督、不怠不荒、

有此而擴充之、則知主耶穌基督道、而自不怠不荒、

爾有此、且充溢、則識我主耶穌基督而不怠荒、無不結果、

爾等苟能存養此等美德、使之發榮滋長於爾內心、則體認吾主耶穌基督、自覺日益親切、欲罷不能、必不致華而不實也。

For if you possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

All these things should describe you more and more. They will make you useful and fruitful as you know our Lord Jesus Christ better.

For if these qualities are yours and are increasing, they keep you from being ineffective or unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

For if you possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep you from being useless or unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

For if these qualities are yours and are increasing, they do not make you useless nor unproductive in the true knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

For if these things are yours and abound, you will be neither barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

For if these qualities are yours and are increasing, they will keep you from being useless or unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

For if these things be in you, and abound, they make[ you that ye shall] neither[ be] barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

For if these things are really yours and are continually increasing, they will keep you from becoming ineffective and unproductive in your pursuit of knowing our Lord Jesus Christ more intimately.

For if these things are yours and abound, they make you to not be idle or unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

He cuts off every branch of mine that doesn’t produce fruit, and he prunes the branches that do bear fruit so they will produce even more.

Let the message about Christ, in all its richness, fill your lives. Teach and counsel each other with all the wisdom he gives. Sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs to God with thankful hearts.

Our people must learn to do good by meeting the urgent needs of others; then they will not be unproductive.

Then you will not become spiritually dull and indifferent. Instead, you will follow the example of those who are going to inherit God’s promises because of their faith and endurance.

So, my dear brothers and sisters, be strong and immovable. Always work enthusiastically for the Lord, for you know that nothing you do for the Lord is ever useless.

And I am praying that you will put into action the generosity that comes from your faith as you understand and experience all the good things we have in Christ.

I pray that your love will overflow more and more, and that you will keep on growing in knowledge and understanding.

May God give you more and more grace and peace as you grow in your knowledge of God and Jesus our Lord.

If it seems we are crazy, it is to bring glory to God. And if we are in our right minds, it is for your benefit.Either way, Christ’s love controls us. Since we believe that Christ died for all, we also believe that we have all died to our old life.He died for everyone so that those who receive his new life will no longer live for themselves. Instead, they will live for Christ, who died and was raised for them.So we have stopped evaluating others from a human point of view. At one time we thought of Christ merely from a human point of view. How differently we know him now!This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!

Since you excel in so many ways— in your faith, your gifted speakers, your knowledge, your enthusiasm, and your love from us— I want you to excel also in this gracious act of giving.

“ At nine o’clock in the morning he was passing through the marketplace and saw some people standing around doing nothing.

Examine yourselves to see if your faith is genuine. Test yourselves. Surely you know that Jesus Christ is among you; if not, you have failed the test of genuine faith.

And if they are on the list, they will learn to be lazy and will spend their time gossiping from house to house, meddling in other people’s business and talking about things they shouldn’t.

Never be lazy, but work hard and serve the Lord enthusiastically.

They are being tested by many troubles, and they are very poor. But they are also filled with abundant joy, which has overflowed in rich generosity.

Lazy people sleep soundly, but idleness leaves them hungry.

“ At five o’clock that afternoon he was in town again and saw some more people standing around. He asked them,‘ Why haven’t you been working today?’

“ But the master replied,‘ You wicked and lazy servant! If you knew I harvested crops I didn’t plant and gathered crops I didn’t cultivate,

The seed that fell among the thorns represents those who hear God’s word, but all too quickly the message is crowded out by the worries of this life and the lure of wealth, so no fruit is produced.

And may the Lord make your love for one another and for all people grow and overflow, just as our love for you overflows.

And they will pray for you with deep affection because of the overflowing grace God has given to you.

Anyone who does not remain in me is thrown away like a useless branch and withers. Such branches are gathered into a pile to be burned.But if you remain in me and my words remain in you, you may ask for anything you want, and it will be granted!When you produce much fruit, you are my true disciples. This brings great glory to my Father.

because I know you don’t have God’s love within you.

Let your roots grow down into him, and let your lives be built on him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with thankfulness.

You must have the same attitude that Christ Jesus had.

Dear brothers and sisters, we can’t help but thank God for you, because your faith is flourishing and your love for one another is growing.

Finally, dear brothers and sisters, we urge you in the name of the Lord Jesus to live in a way that pleases God, as we have taught you. You live this way already, and we encourage you to do so even more.
