爾有此而擴充之、則必使爾於識我主耶穌基督、不怠不荒、

有此而擴充之、則知主耶穌基督道、而自不怠不荒、

爾有此、且充溢、則識我主耶穌基督而不怠荒、無不結果、

爾等苟能存養此等美德、使之發榮滋長於爾內心、則體認吾主耶穌基督、自覺日益親切、欲罷不能、必不致華而不實也。

For if you possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

All these things should describe you more and more. They will make you useful and fruitful as you know our Lord Jesus Christ better.

The more you grow like this, the more productive and useful you will be in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Our people must also learn to engage in good deeds to meet pressing needs, so that they will not be unproductive.

so that you will not be sluggish, but imitators of those who through faith and endurance inherit the promises.

Therefore, my beloved brothers and sisters, be firm, immovable, always excelling in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.

and I pray that the fellowship of your faith may become effective through the knowledge of every good thing which is in you for the sake of Christ.

And this I pray, that your love may overflow still more and more in real knowledge and all discernment,

Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord,

For if we have lost our minds, it is for God; if we are of sound mind, it is for you.For the love of Christ controls us, having concluded this, that one died for all, therefore all died;and He died for all, so that those who live would no longer live for themselves, but for Him who died and rose on their behalf.Therefore from now on we recognize no one by the flesh; even though we have known Christ by the flesh, yet now we know Him in this way no longer.Therefore if anyone is in Christ, this person is a new creation; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come.

But just as you excel in everything, in faith, speaking, knowledge, and in all earnestness and in the love we inspired in you, see that you also excel in this gracious work.

And he went out about the third hour and saw others standing idle in the marketplace;

Test yourselves to see if you are in the faith; examine yourselves! Or do you not recognize this about yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you— unless indeed you fail the test?

And about the eleventh hour he went out and found others standing around; and he* said to them,‘ Why have you been standing here idle all day long?’

“ But his master answered and said to him,‘ You worthless, lazy slave! Did you know that I reap where I did not sow, and gather where I did not scatter seed?

And the one sown with seed among the thorns, this is the one who hears the word, and the anxiety of the world and the deceitfulness of wealth choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful.

and may the Lord cause you to increase and overflow in love for one another, and for all people, just as we also do for you;

while they also, by prayer on your behalf, yearn for you because of the surpassing grace of God in you.

If anyone does not remain in Me, he is thrown away like a branch and dries up; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned.If you remain in Me, and My words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.My Father is glorified by this, that you bear much fruit, and so prove to be My disciples.

but I know you, that you do not have the love of God in yourselves.

having been firmly rooted and now being built up in Him and established in your faith, just as you were instructed, and overflowing with gratitude.

Have this attitude in yourselves which was also in Christ Jesus,

We ought always to give thanks to God for you, brothers and sisters, as is only fitting, because your faith is increasing abundantly, and the love of each and every one of you toward one another grows ever greater.

Finally then, brothers and sisters, we request and urge you in the Lord Jesus, that as you received instruction from us as to how you ought to walk and please God( just as you actually do walk), that you excel even more.
