有此而擴充之、則知主耶穌基督道、而自不怠不荒、

爾有此、且充溢、則識我主耶穌基督而不怠荒、無不結果、

爾等苟能存養此等美德、使之發榮滋長於爾內心、則體認吾主耶穌基督、自覺日益親切、欲罷不能、必不致華而不實也。

For if you possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

All these things should describe you more and more. They will make you useful and fruitful as you know our Lord Jesus Christ better.

and the Lord make you to increase and abound in love one toward another, and toward all men, even as we also do toward you;

while they themselves also, with supplication on your behalf, long after you by reason of the exceeding grace of God in you.

If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and they gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatsoever ye will, and it shall be done unto you.Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; and so shall ye be my disciples.

But I know you, that ye have not the love of God in yourselves.

rooted and builded up in him, and established in your faith, even as ye were taught, abounding in thanksgiving.

Have this mind in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:

We are bound to give thanks to God always for you, brethren, even as it is meet, for that your faith groweth exceedingly, and the love of each one of you all toward one another aboundeth;

Finally then, brethren, we beseech and exhort you in the Lord Jesus, that, as ye received of us how ye ought to walk and to please God, even as ye do walk,— that ye abound more and more.
