雖然你們已經知道這些事，並且在所領受的真道上也很堅固，但我還是要常常提醒你們。

So I will always remind you of these things, even though you know them and are firmly established in the truth you now have.

弟兄姊妹，我知道你們充滿良善，知識全備，能彼此勸導。但我仍放膽寫信提醒你們幾件事，因為我蒙上帝賜恩，

弟兄姊妹，你們要靠主喜樂！我再把這些事寫給你們，對我來說並不麻煩，對你們卻有好處。

以下的事情，你們雖然都知道，但我還要再提醒你們：從前上帝把祂的子民從埃及救出來，後來把其中不信的人滅絕了。

親愛的弟兄姊妹，要謹記主耶穌基督的使徒從前給你們的警告。

我覺得應當趁著我還在世的時候提醒你們，激勵你們，

在忠心的弟兄西拉的幫助下，我簡單地寫了這封信勸勉你們，並證明這是上帝真實的恩典。你們務要在這恩典上站穩。

親愛的弟兄姊妹，我現在寫給你們的是第二封信。這兩封信都是為了提醒你們，激勵你們保持真誠的心，

我要盡力使你們在我離世以後仍然常常記得這些事。

親愛的弟兄姊妹，我一直迫切地想寫信跟你們談談我們所共享的救恩，但現在我覺得有必要寫信勸勉你們竭力護衛一次就完整地交給聖徒的真道。

因此，親愛的弟兄姊妹，你們既然預先知道了這些事，就應該提防，不要讓那些不法之徒用錯謬的理論引誘你們，使你們失去原本堅固的立場。

你們忍受短暫的苦難之後，廣施恩典、在基督裡呼召你們享受祂永遠榮耀的上帝必親自復興你們，使你們剛強、篤定、堅立。

你們要回想當初的日子，那時你們蒙了光照以後，忍受了各種苦難的煎熬。

你們不要被五花八門的異端邪說勾引了去，因為心中得到力量是靠上帝的恩典，而不是靠飲食上的禮儀，這些禮儀從未使遵守的人受益。

因此我提醒你，要把上帝在我把手按在你身上時賜給你的恩賜充分發揮出來。

你要提醒弟兄姊妹這些事，這樣你就是基督耶穌的好僕人，會不斷地從你所信的真道和所遵行的美好教導上得到造就。

按照你們所受的教導在祂裡面扎根成長，信心堅固，滿懷感恩。

這樣，眾教會在信仰上得到堅固，人數天天都在增加。
