Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall:

是故兄弟、愈當殷勤、以堅爾召爾選、爾若行此、則永不蹶躓、

兄弟當黽勉、以明上帝選爾召爾、由是而行、無不得救、

故兄弟更當殷勤、使爾蒙召蒙選之恩、堅定不移、爾若行此、則永不躓蹶、

故望兄弟益加奮勉、孳孳為善、務使爾之聖召恩選、根深秪固、確乎不拔。爾能遵此而行、則永無失足之虞；

Therefore, my brothers and sisters, make every effort to confirm your calling and election. For if you do these things, you will never stumble,

My brothers and sisters, try very hard to show that God has appointed you to be saved. Try hard to show that he has chosen you. If you do everything I have just said, you will never trip and fall.

Therefore, brothers, be all the more diligent to confirm your calling and election, for if you practice these qualities you will never fall.

So, dear brothers and sisters, work hard to prove that you really are among those God has called and chosen. Do these things, and you will never fall away.

Therefore, brothers and sisters, make every effort to confirm your calling and election, because if you do these things you will never stumble.

Therefore, brothers and sisters, be all the more diligent to make certain about His calling and choice of you; for as long as you practice these things, you will never stumble;

Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know[ these things] before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own stedfastness.

Whosoever cometh to me, and heareth my sayings, and doeth them, I will shew you to whom he is like:He is like a man which built an house, and digged deep, and laid the foundation on a rock: and when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently upon that house, and could not shake it: for it was founded upon a rock.But he that heareth, and doeth not, is like a man that without a foundation built an house upon the earth; against which the stream did beat vehemently, and immediately it fell; and the ruin of that house was great.

And we desire that every one of you do shew the same diligence to the full assurance of hope unto the end:

He only[ is] my rock and my salvation:[ he is] my defence; I shall not be moved.

And hereby we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts before him.For if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart, and knoweth all things.Beloved, if our heart condemn us not,[ then] have we confidence toward God.

Rejoice not against me, O mine enemy: when I fall, I shall arise; when I sit in darkness, the LORD[ shall be] a light unto me.

He only[ is] my rock and my salvation;[ he is] my defence; I shall not be greatly moved.

Surely he shall not be moved for ever: the righteous shall be in everlasting remembrance.

He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber.

And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge;

Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.

Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.

But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth:Whereunto he called you by our gospel, to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Remembering without ceasing your work of faith, and labour of love, and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, in the sight of God and our Father;Knowing, brethren beloved, your election of God.

But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God.And now, behold, I know that ye all, among whom I have gone preaching the kingdom of God, shall see my face no more.

Blessed[ are] they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.

Blessed[ is] the man[ that] doeth this, and the son of man[ that] layeth hold on it; that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and keepeth his hand from doing any evil.

Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.

Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the LORD upholdeth[ him with] his hand.

Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied.

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to[ his] purpose.For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate[ to be] conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.What shall we then say to these things? If God[ be] for us, who[ can be] against us?

Which[ hope] we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast, and which entereth into that within the veil;

[ He that] putteth not out his money to usury, nor taketh reward against the innocent. He that doeth these[ things] shall never be moved.
