故兄弟更當殷勤、使爾蒙召蒙選之恩、堅定不移、爾若行此、則永不躓蹶、

故望兄弟益加奮勉、孳孳為善、務使爾之聖召恩選、根深秪固、確乎不拔。爾能遵此而行、則永無失足之虞；

Therefore, my brothers and sisters, make every effort to confirm your calling and election. For if you do these things, you will never stumble,

And when a flood arose, the stream broke against that house and could not shake it, because it had been well built.But the one who hears and does not do them is like a man who built a house on the ground without a foundation. And we desire each one of you to show the same earnestness to have the full assurance of hope until the end,

He only is my rock and my salvation, my fortress; I shall not be shaken.

By this we shall know that we are of the truth and reassure our heart before him;for whenever our heart condemns us, God is greater than our heart, and he knows everything.Beloved, if our heart does not condemn us, we have confidence before God;

Rejoice not over me, O my enemy; when I fall, I shall rise; when I sit in darkness, the Lord will be a light to me.

He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress; I shall not be greatly shaken.

For the righteous will never be moved; he will be remembered forever.

He will not let your foot be moved; he who keeps you will not slumber.

For this very reason, make every effort to supplement your faith with virtue, and virtue with knowledge,

But God’s firm foundation stands, bearing this seal:“ The Lord knows those who are his,” and,“ Let everyone who names the name of the Lord depart from iniquity.”

“ Everyone then who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock.And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house, but it did not fall, because it had been founded on the rock.

But we ought always to give thanks to God for you, brothers beloved by the Lord, because God chose you as the firstfruits to be saved, through sanctification by the Spirit and belief in the truth.To this he called you through our gospel, so that you may obtain the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.

remembering before our God and Father your work of faith and labor of love and steadfastness of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ.For we know, brothers loved by God, that he has chosen you,

But I do not account my life of any value nor as precious to myself, if only I may finish my course and the ministry that I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God.And now, behold, I know that none of you among whom I have gone about proclaiming the kingdom will see my face again.

Blessed are those who wash their robes, so that they may have the right to the tree of life and that they may enter the city by the gates.

Blessed is the man who does this, and the son of man who holds it fast, who keeps the Sabbath, not profaning it, and keeps his hand from doing any evil.”

who by God’s power are being guarded through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

Because you have kept my word about patient endurance, I will keep you from the hour of trial that is coming on the whole world, to try those who dwell on the earth.I am coming soon. Hold fast what you have, so that no one may seize your crown.

though he fall, he shall not be cast headlong, for the Lord upholds his hand.

according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, in the sanctification of the Spirit, for obedience to Jesus Christ and for sprinkling with his blood: May grace and peace be multiplied to you.

And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.For those whom he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, in order that he might be the firstborn among many brothers.And those whom he predestined he also called, and those whom he called he also justified, and those whom he justified he also glorified.What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?

We have this as a sure and steadfast anchor of the soul, a hope that enters into the inner place behind the curtain,

who does not put out his money at interest and does not take a bribe against the innocent. He who does these things shall never be moved.
