Wherefore, brethren, give the more diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never stumble:

是故兄弟、愈當殷勤、以堅爾召爾選、爾若行此、則永不蹶躓、

兄弟當黽勉、以明上帝選爾召爾、由是而行、無不得救、

故兄弟更當殷勤、使爾蒙召蒙選之恩、堅定不移、爾若行此、則永不躓蹶、

故望兄弟益加奮勉、孳孳為善、務使爾之聖召恩選、根深秪固、確乎不拔。爾能遵此而行、則永無失足之虞；

Therefore, my brothers and sisters, make every effort to confirm your calling and election. For if you do these things, you will never stumble,

My brothers and sisters, try very hard to show that God has appointed you to be saved. Try hard to show that he has chosen you. If you do everything I have just said, you will never trip and fall.

Therefore, brothers, be all the more diligent to confirm your calling and election, for if you practice these qualities you will never fall.

So, dear brothers and sisters, work hard to prove that you really are among those God has called and chosen. Do these things, and you will never fall away.

Every one that cometh unto me, and heareth my words, and doeth them, I will show you to whom he is like:he is like a man building a house, who digged and went deep, and laid a foundation upon the rock: and when a flood arose, the stream brake against that house, and could not shake it: because it had been well builded.But he that heareth, and doeth not, is like a man that built a house upon the earth without a foundation; against which the stream brake, and straightway it fell in; and the ruin of that house was great.

And we desire that each one of you may show the same diligence unto the fulness of hope even to the end:

He only is my rock and my salvation: He is my high tower; I shall not be moved.

Hereby shall we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our heart before him:because if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart, and knoweth all things.Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, we have boldness toward God;

Rejoice not against me, O mine enemy: when I fall, I shall arise; when I sit in darkness, Jehovah will be a light unto me.

He only is my rock and my salvation: He is my high tower; I shall not be greatly moved.

For he shall never be moved; The righteous shall be had in everlasting remembrance.

He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: He that keepeth thee will not slumber.

Yea, and for this very cause adding on your part all diligence, in your faith supply virtue; and in your virtue knowledge;

Howbeit the firm foundation of God standeth, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his: and, Let every one that nameth the name of the Lord depart from unrighteousness.

Every one therefore that heareth these words of mine, and doeth them, shall be likened unto a wise man, who built his house upon the rock:and the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon the rock.

But we are bound to give thanks to God always for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, for that God chose you from the beginning unto salvation in sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth:whereunto he called you through our gospel, to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.

remembering without ceasing your work of faith and labor of love and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, before our God and Father;knowing, brethren beloved of God, your election,

But I hold not my life of any account as dear unto myself, so that I may accomplish my course, and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God.And now, behold, I know that ye all, among whom I went about preaching the kingdom, shall see my face no more.

Blessed are they that wash their robes, that they may have the right to come to the tree of life, and may enter in by the gates into the city.

Blessed is the man that doeth this, and the son of man that holdeth it fast; that keepeth the sabbath from profaning it, and keepeth his hand from doing any evil.

who by the power of God are guarded through faith unto a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

Because thou didst keep the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of trial, that hour which is to come upon the whole world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.I come quickly: hold fast that which thou hast, that no one take thy crown.

Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down; For Jehovah upholdeth him with his hand.

according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, in sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace to you and peace be multiplied.

And we know that to them that love God all things work together for good, even to them that are called according to his purpose.For whom he foreknew, he also foreordained to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren:and whom he foreordained, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who is against us?

which we have as an anchor of the soul, a hope both sure and stedfast and entering into that which is within the veil;

He that putteth not out his money to interest, Nor taketh reward against the innocent. He that doeth these things shall never be moved.
