You are to destroy the house of Ahab your master, and I will avenge the blood of my servants the prophets and the blood of all the Lord’s servants shed by Jezebel.

You must destroy the royal house of your master Ahab. I will pay them back for spilling the blood of my servants the prophets. I will also pay them back for the blood of all the Lord’ s servants that Jezebel spilled.

And you shall strike down the house of Ahab your master, so that I may avenge on Jezebel the blood of my servants the prophets, and the blood of all the servants of the Lord.

You are to destroy the family of Ahab, your master. In this way, I will avenge the murder of my prophets and all the Lord’s servants who were killed by Jezebel.

耶洗別剪滅了永恆主眾神言人的時候，俄巴底將一百個神言人藏了，每五十人在一個洞裏，用食物和水供養他們。——

耶洗別聽見拿伯被石頭打到死去，就對亞哈說：『你起來、取得耶斯列人拿伯的葡萄園、他不肯給你換取銀子的那園子；因為拿伯不在了，已經死了。』

『列國啊，跟主的人民一同歡呼吧！因為他要伸他僕人流血的冤，他要將伸冤報復他的敵人，他要給他的土地、他的人民、除罪染。』

只是從來沒有人像亞哈的；他出賣了他自己、去行永恆主所看為壞的事；王后耶洗別教唆了他，

永恆主說：「看吧，我必使災禍臨到你；必除滅你；在以色列中凡屬亞哈的男丁、無論自主不自主、我都要剪滅淨盡。

要等待伸冤報應的日子，等待他們的腳顛躓的時候麼？因為他們遭遇災難的日子近了，那準備要臨到他們身上的就要迅速地來臨。

耶戶抬頭看那窗戶，說：『誰擁護我？誰？』有兩三個太監在眺望着他。耶戶說：『放她墮下來。』他們就放她墮下去；她的血濺在牆上和馬上；有一隻馬把她踐踏了。耶戶進去，又喫又喝，說：『你們去發落這被咒詛的婦人的事，把她埋葬好啦；因為她是王的女兒。』但他們要去埋葬她時，竟找不到她的全屍，只找到頭蓋骨、腳和手掌。他們就回去告訴耶戶，耶戶說：『這正是永恆主的話、他由他僕人提斯比人以利亞經手說的，說：『在耶斯列地段、狗必喫耶洗別的肉；耶洗別的屍體在耶斯列地段必像糞土在地上，甚至人不能說：「這是耶洗別。」』

永恆主伸冤的上帝啊，伸冤的上帝啊，射發光輝哦！審判大地的主啊，挺身而立哦！使驕傲的人受該得的報應。永恆主啊，惡人要到幾時？惡人歡躍要到幾時呢？他們絮絮叨叨，噴吐着傲慢的話；一切作孽的人都矜誇張狂。永恆主啊，他們壓碎你的人民，苦害你的產業。他們殺死寡婦和寄居者，又殺害孤兒；居然竟說：『永恆主必不看，雅各的上帝必不關心。』

親愛的，不要自己伸冤，寧可給上帝的義怒留地步；因為經上記着說：『主說，伸冤在我，我必報應。』

因為它是為你的好處而做上帝僕役的。但你若行惡，就該懼怕；因為它並不是徒然佩帶刀劍權力；它是上帝的僕役，是刑罰者，使上帝之義怒臨到作惡之人的。

天哪，聖眾使徒和神言人哪，因那城而歡躍吧！因為上帝已為你們伸雪而判罰她了。』

叫流在地上的義血都歸到你們身上，從義人亞伯的血起，直到巴拉加兒子撒迦利亞的血為止；他就是你們在殿堂和祭壇間所殺害的。

羔羊揭開了第五個印的時候，我看見祭壇底下有那些為了上帝之道、為了他們所執守的見證、而被屠殺之人的靈魂。他們大聲喊着說：『聖而真的主宰啊，你不審判、而向住在地上的人伸我們流血的冤、要等到幾時呢？』

上帝揀選的人晝夜向他喊救，他縱然在他們的事上延持着，難道總不給他們伸冤麼？我告訴你們，他總要快快地給他們伸冤的。然而人子來的時候，難道得見信心在地上麼？』

因為他所判罰的真實又公義：他判罰了那大淫婦、那用淫亂使地上敗壞的，他並且向淫婦手裏為他僕人們伸流血的冤。』

因為我們知道誰說：『伸冤在我，我必報應』；誰說：『主必定他子民的罪』。
