Just as Gehazi was telling the king how Elisha had restored the dead to life, the woman whose son Elisha had brought back to life came to appeal to the king for her house and land. Gehazi said,“ This is the woman, my lord the king, and this is her son whom Elisha restored to life.”

She was the woman whose son Elisha had brought back to life. Gehazi said,“ King Joram, this is the woman I’ve been telling you about. And this is her son. He’s the one Elisha brought back to life.”

At that very moment, the mother of the boy walked in to make her appeal to the king about her house and land.“ Look, my lord the king!” Gehazi exclaimed.“ Here is the woman now, and this is her son— the very one Elisha brought back to life!”

The eunuch said,“ Look, there’s water! What would keep me from being baptized?”

As the king of Israel was passing by on the wall, a woman cried out to him,“ My lord the king, help!”
