Ahaziah went with Joram son of Ahab to war against Hazael king of Aram at Ramoth Gilead. The Arameans wounded Joram;

Ahaziah joined forces with Joram. They went to war against Hazael at Ramoth Gilead. Joram was the son of Ahab. Hazael was king of Aram. The soldiers of Aram wounded King Joram.

偕以色列王亞哈子約藍、往基列之喇末、與亞蘭王哈泄戰、約藍為亞蘭人所敗、被傷遘疾、歸耶斯烈求醫、時猶大王約蘭子亞薩哩亞、至彼問疾。

其別子徵基列之喇末、及馬拿西子睚耳眾邑、亞咯地之巴山境、有墻垣銅楗之大邑六十。

伽得支派給基列地之喇末為誤殺人者逋逃之藪、又給馬哈念與其郊、

車騎之長見約沙法、則曰、彼以色列王也。遂環而攻之。約沙法大聲而呼、耶和華上帝祐之、敵乃去、

詰朝、哈泄以厚布濡水、掩王面而斃之、遂篡其位。○

以色列王謂其臣曰、基列之喇末、豈非屬我、爾志何怠、不圖進取、奪於亞蘭王之手乎。問約沙法曰、爾欲與我偕往、至基列之喇末、一戰乎。曰、可、爾我無異視、我民如爾民、我馬如爾馬。

哈泄曰、我主何為哭泣。對曰、我知爾將惡待以色列族、燬其城垣戮其丁男、捽死嬰孩、刳剔孕婦。哈泄曰、我甚微藐、無異於犬、焉能作此大事乎。以利沙曰、耶和華示我爾必為亞蘭王。

先見者哈拿尼、其子耶戶、出迓之、告曰、不義者爾反助之、憾耶和華者、爾反愛之、獨何與。耶和華震怒以此。

遣人至猶大王約沙法曰、摩押王叛我、爾與我偕、攻摩押可乎。曰、可、爾我無異視、我民即爾民、我馬即爾馬。

越數年、往撒馬利亞、覲亞哈、亞哈多宰牛羊宴王及僕從、勸其同往基列之喇末、問約沙法、曰爾欲與我偕往乎。曰、爾我無異視、我民如爾民、我馬如爾馬。

以色列王、與猶大王、往基列之喇末、

至於後日、避哈泄者、耶戶殺之、避耶戶者、以利沙殺之。
