以利沙说：“你不可击杀他们。你可以击杀你自己用刀用弓掳回来的人吗？你要在他们面前摆上食物和水，给他们吃喝，然后回到他们的主人那里去。”

回答说：“不可击杀他们！就是你用刀用弓掳来的，岂可击杀他们吗？当在他们面前设摆饮食，使他们吃喝回到他们的主人那里。”

他说：“不可击杀！这些人岂是你用刀用弓掳来给你击杀的呢？当在他们面前摆设饮食给他们吃喝，让他们回到他们主人那里。”

他说：“不可击杀！这些人岂是你用刀用弓掳来给你击杀的呢？当在他们面前摆设饮食给他们吃喝，让他们回到他们主人那里。”

以利沙答道：“不可杀他们。岂可杀从战场上抓来的俘虏呢？给他们吃的喝的，让他们回自己主人那里吧。”

回答說：「不可擊殺他們！就是你用刀用弓擄來的，豈可擊殺他們嗎？當在他們面前設擺飲食，使他們吃喝回到他們的主人那裏。」

他說：「不可擊殺！這些人豈是你用刀用弓擄來給你擊殺的呢？當在他們面前擺設飲食給他們吃喝，讓他們回到他們主人那裏。」

他說：「不可擊殺！這些人豈是你用刀用弓擄來給你擊殺的呢？當在他們面前擺設飲食給他們吃喝，讓他們回到他們主人那裏。」

以利沙答道：「不可殺他們。豈可殺從戰場上抓來的俘虜呢？給他們吃的喝的，讓他們回自己主人那裡吧。」

“ Do not kill them,” he answered.“ Would you kill those you have captured with your own sword or bow? Set food and water before them so that they may eat and drink and then go back to their master.”

He answered,“ You shall not strike them down. Would you strike down those whom you have taken captive with your sword and with your bow? Set bread and water before them, that they may eat and drink and go to their master.”

“ Of course not!” Elisha replied.“ Do we kill prisoners of war? Give them food and drink and send them home again to their master.”

Elisha replied,“ Don’t kill them. Do you kill those you have captured with your sword or your bow? Set food and water in front of them so they can eat and drink and go to their master.”

But he answered,“ You shall not kill them. Would you kill those whom you have taken captive with your sword and your bow? Set bread and water before them, so that they may eat and drink, and go to their master.”

He replied,“ Do not strike them down! You did not capture them with your sword or bow, so what gives you the right to strike them down? Give them some food and water, so they can eat and drink and then go back to their master.”

He answered,“ You shall not strike them. Would you strike those whom you have taken captive with your sword and with your bow? Set bread and water before them, that they may eat and drink, and go to their master.”

现在我把从前用刀和弓，从亚摩利人手中夺过来的那块山地赐给你，使你比众兄弟多得一份。”

相反地，“如果你的仇敌饿了，就给他吃；如果渴了，就给他喝。因为你这样作，就是把炭火堆在他的头上。”不可被恶所胜，反要以善胜恶。

到那日，为了他们，我必和田野的走兽、空中的飞鸟、地上爬行的动物立约；我必从这地折断弓弩、刀剑和兵器（“兵器”原文作“战争”）；使他们安然居住。

可是我告诉你们，当爱你们的仇敌，为迫害你们的祈祷，

如果你的仇敌饿了，就给他食物吃；如果渴了，就给他水喝，因为你这样作，就是把炭火堆在他的头上，耶和华必还报你。

因为我不是倚靠我的弓，我的刀剑也不能使我得胜。

“但我要怜恤犹大家，使他们靠耶和华他们的神得救。我要拯救他们，并不是靠弓、靠刀、靠战争，也不是靠战马、靠骑兵。”

我派了黄蜂飞在你们前面，把亚摩利人的两个王从你们面前赶走，并不是用你的刀，也不是用你的弓。

以色列人从他们的兄弟中掳走妇孺共二十万人；又从他们中间夺取了很多战利品，带回撒玛利亚去。那里有一位耶和华的先知名叫俄德，出来迎接回到撒玛利亚来的军队，对他们说：“耶和华你们列祖的神因为恼怒犹大人，才把他们交在你们手里，你们却怒气冲天，杀戮了他们。现在你们又想强迫犹大人和耶路撒冷人作你们的奴婢。难道你们自己就没有得罪耶和华你们的神吗？你们现在要听我的话，把你们掳回来的兄弟释放回去，因为耶和华的震怒已经临到你们身上了。”于是以法莲人的几个首领，就是约哈难的儿子亚撒利雅、米实利末的儿子比利家、沙龙的儿子耶希西家和哈得莱的儿子亚玛撒，起来阻挡从战场回来的军队，对他们说：“你们不可把这些俘虏带进来，因为我们已经得罪了耶和华，你们想增加我们的罪恶和过犯，我们的过犯实在严重，耶和华的震怒临到以色列人身上了。”于是，军队把俘虏和战利品都留在众领袖和全体会众的面前。上面提过的那些人就起来，领走那些俘虏，从战利品中拿出衣服给所有赤身的穿着，给他们穿上鞋，给他们吃喝，又给他们抹油，又把所有疲弱的人放在驴子上，把他们送回棕树城耶利哥他们的兄弟那里，然后就回撒玛利亚去了。

如果那城以和平的话回答你，给你开门，城里所有的人都要给你作苦工，服事你。如果那城不肯与你言和，却要与你作战，你就要围困那城。耶和华你的神把城交在你手里的时候，你要用利刃杀尽城里所有的男丁。只有妇人、小孩子、牲畜和城里所有的一切，就是一切战利品，你都可以据为己有，你的仇敌的战利品，你都可以吃用，因为这是耶和华你的神赐给你的。离开你很远的各城，不是属于这些国民的城，你都要这样对待他们。只是在耶和华你的神赐给你作产业的这些国民的城市里，凡有气息的，连一个你也不可让他活着；
