淫婦用許多花言巧語來引誘他，用諂媚的嘴強迫他。

非利士人集合而來，在書念紮營；掃羅集合以色列眾人，在基利波紮營。

孩子漸漸長大；這一天他出去到收割的人那裏、去找他父親。

老年人說：『你安心好啦；你所缺的、只由我供給好啦；可別在廣場上過夜啊。』

年紀大的不都有智慧；老邁的不都能明白是非。

這一天、以利沙來到那裏，就轉進那房頂屋子去躺一躺。以利沙對僮僕基哈西說：『你去叫這書念的婦人來』；他就把婦人叫了來；婦人站在以利沙面前。

羅得極力地逼着他們，他們才轉身，來到他家裏。羅得給他們辦筵席，烤無酵餅；他們就喫。

她和她一家既受了洗，就求我們說：『你們若以我為真信主的，就請進我家來住。』便強留我們。
