A man from Baal-shalishah came to the man of God with his sack full of twenty loaves of barley bread from the first bread of the harvest. Elisha said,“ Give it to the people to eat.”

A man came from Baal Shalishah, bringing the man of God twenty loaves of barley bread baked from the first ripe grain, along with some heads of new grain.“ Give it to the people to eat,” Elisha said.

A man came from Baal Shalishah. He brought the man of God 20 loaves of barley bread. They had been baked from the first grain that had ripened. The man also brought some heads of new grain.“ Give this food to the people to eat,” Elisha said.

A man came from Baal-shalishah, bringing the man of God bread of the firstfruits, twenty loaves of barley and fresh ears of grain in his sack. And Elisha said,“ Give to the men, that they may eat.”

One day a man from Baal shalishah brought the man of God a sack of fresh grain and twenty loaves of barley bread made from the first grain of his harvest. Elisha said,“ Give it to the people so they can eat.”

Now a man came from Baal shalishah, and brought the man of God bread of the first fruits, twenty loaves of barley and fresh grain in his sack. And Elisha said,“ Give them to the people that they may eat.”

Then a man came from Baal Shalisha, and brought the man of God bread of the firstfruits, twenty loaves of barley bread, and newly ripened grain in his knapsack. And he said,“ Give it to the people, that they may eat.”

And there came a man from Baal- shalishah, and brought the man of God bread of the first- fruits, twenty loaves of barley, and fresh ears of grain in his sack. And he said, Give unto the people, that they may eat.

A man from Baal-shalishah came to the man of God with his sack full of 20 loaves of barley bread from the first bread of the harvest. Elisha said,“ Give it to the people to eat.”

And there came a man from Baalshalisha, and brought the man of God bread of the firstfruits, twenty loaves of barley, and full ears of corn in the husk thereof. And he said, Give unto the people, that they may eat.

Now a man from Baal Shalisha brought some food for the prophet– twenty loaves of bread made from the firstfruits of the barley harvest, as well as fresh ears of grain. Elisha said,“ Set it before the people so they may eat.”

A man from Baal Shalishah came, and brought the man of God some bread of the first fruits: twenty loaves of barley and fresh ears of grain in his sack. He said,“ Give to the people, that they may eat.”

“ Suppose we do go,” Saul said to his servant,“ what do we take the man? The food from our packs is gone, and there’s no gift to take to the man of God. What do we have?”

Saul and his servant went through the hill country of Ephraim and then through the region of Shalishah, but they didn’t find them. They went through the region of Shaalim— nothing. Then they went through the Benjaminite region but still didn’t find them.

So they collected them and filled twelve baskets with the pieces from the five barley loaves that were left over by those who had eaten.

“ There’s a boy here who has five barley loaves and two fish— but what are they for so many?”

If we have sown spiritual things for you, is it too much if we reap material benefits from you?

When Elisha returned to Gilgal, there was a famine in the land. The sons of the prophets were sitting before him. He said to his attendant,“ Put on the large pot and make stew for the sons of the prophets.”

Elisha replied,“ Hear the word of the LORD! This is what the LORD says:‘ About this time tomorrow at Samaria’s gate, six quarts of fine flour will sell for a half ounce of silver and twelve quarts of barley will sell for a half ounce of silver.’”

Also observe the Festival of Harvest with the firstfruits of your produce from what you sow in the field, and observe the Festival of Ingathering at the end of the year, when you gather your produce from the field.

curds from the herd and milk from the flock, with the fat of lambs, rams from Bashan, and goats, with the choicest grains of wheat; you drank wine from the finest grapes.

You are to bring there your burnt offerings and sacrifices, your tenths and personal contributions, your vow offerings and freewill offerings, and the firstborn of your herds and flocks.

take some of the first of all the land’s produce that you harvest from the land the LORD your God is giving you and put it in a basket. Then go to the place where the LORD your God chooses to have his name dwell.When you come before the priest who is serving at that time, say to him,‘ Today I declare to the LORD your God that I have entered the land the LORD swore to our ancestors to give us.’“ Then the priest will take the basket from you and place it before the altar of the LORD your God.You are to respond by saying in the presence of the LORD your God: My father was a wandering Aramean. He went down to Egypt with a few people and resided there as an alien. There he became a great, powerful, and populous nation.But the Egyptians mistreated and oppressed us, and forced us to do hard labor.So we called out to the LORD, the God of our ancestors, and the LORD heard our cry and saw our misery, hardship, and oppression.Then the LORD brought us out of Egypt with a strong hand and an outstretched arm, with terrifying power, and with signs and wonders.He led us to this place and gave us this land, a land flowing with milk and honey.I have now brought the first of the land’s produce that you, LORD, have given me. You will then place the container before the LORD your God and bow down to him.

The priests and Levites from all their regions throughout Israel took their stand with Rehoboam,for the Levites left their pasturelands and their possessions and went to Judah and Jerusalem, because Jeroboam and his sons refused to let them serve as priests of the LORD.

Let the one who is taught the word share all his good things with the teacher.

“ They don’t need to go away,” Jesus told them.“ You give them something to eat.”“ But we only have five loaves and two fish here,” they said to him.“ Bring them here to me,” he said.Then he commanded the crowds to sit down on the grass. He took the five loaves and the two fish, and looking up to heaven, he blessed them. He broke the loaves and gave them to the disciples, and the disciples gave them to the crowds.Everyone ate and was satisfied. They picked up twelve baskets full of leftover pieces.Now those who ate were about five thousand men, besides women and children.

a land of wheat, barley, vines, figs, and pomegranates; a land of olive oil and honey;

Honor the LORD with your possessions and with the first produce of your entire harvest;then your barns will be completely filled, and your vats will overflow with new wine.

Then the people went out and plundered the Aramean camp. It was then that six quarts of fine flour sold for a half ounce of silver and twelve quarts of barley sold for a half ounce of silver, according to the word of the LORD.The king had appointed the captain, his right-hand man, to be in charge of the city gate, but the people trampled him in the gate. He died, just as the man of God had predicted when the king had come to him.When the man of God had said to the king,“ About this time tomorrow twelve quarts of barley will sell for a half ounce of silver and six quarts of fine flour will sell for a half ounce of silver at Samaria’s gate,”

Jesus called his disciples and said,“ I have compassion on the crowd, because they’ve already stayed with me three days and have nothing to eat. I don’t want to send them away hungry, otherwise they might collapse on the way.”The disciples said to him,“ Where could we get enough bread in this desolate place to feed such a crowd?”“ How many loaves do you have?” Jesus asked them.“ Seven,” they said,“ and a few small fish.”After commanding the crowd to sit down on the ground,he took the seven loaves and the fish, gave thanks, broke them, and gave them to the disciples, and the disciples gave them to the crowds.They all ate and were satisfied. They collected the leftover pieces— seven large baskets full.Now there were four thousand men who had eaten, besides women and children.
