過了一些時候，保羅對巴拿巴說：“我們要回到我們傳過主道的各城，探望弟兄們，好知道他們的情形怎麼樣。”

又拿這十塊乳酪去給他們的千夫長，看看你的哥哥們平安不平安，把他們的家書帶回來。”

他說：“為甚麼你要在今天去見他呢？今天既不是月朔，也不是安息日。”她說：“一切都平安。”

因為是你作了這事，我就靜默不開口。

雅各又問他們：“他平安嗎？”他們回答：“平安。你看，他的女兒拉結領著羊群來了。”

說：“我赤身出於母胎，也必赤身歸去。賞賜的是耶和華，收回的也是耶和華；耶和華的名是應當稱頌的。”在這一切事上，約伯並沒有犯罪，也沒有歸咎於神。

於是撒母耳把一切話都告訴了以利，一句也沒有隱瞞。以利說：“他是耶和華，他看怎麼好，就怎麼行吧。”

以色列對他說：“你去看看你的哥哥們是不是平安，羊群是不是平安，就回來告訴我。”於是打發他離開希伯崙谷，他就到示劍去了。

於是摩西對亞倫說：“這就是耶和華曾經告訴我們的，他說：‘在親近我的人中，我要顯為聖，在眾人面前，我要得榮耀。’”亞倫就默然無語。

對他說：“你快跑去告訴那年輕人：‘耶路撒冷必有人居住，像沒有城牆規限的田野，因為城中的人和牲畜很多。

到他家裡的時候，要向他們問安；如果這家是配得的，你們的平安就必臨到他們；如果這家不配得，你們的平安仍歸你們。
