The wife of a man from the company of the prophets cried out to Elisha,“ Your servant my husband is dead, and you know that he revered the Lord. But now his creditor is coming to take my two boys as his slaves.”

The wife of a man from the group of the prophets cried out to Elisha. She said,“ My husband is dead. You know how much respect he had for the Lord. But he owed money to someone. And now that person is coming to take my two boys away. They will become his slaves.”

Now the wife of one of the sons of the prophets cried to Elisha,“ Your servant my husband is dead, and you know that your servant feared the Lord, but the creditor has come to take my two children to be his slaves.”

One day the widow of a member of the group of prophets came to Elisha and cried out,“ My husband who served you is dead, and you know how he feared the Lord. But now a creditor has come, threatening to take my two sons as slaves.”

One of the wives of the sons of the prophets cried out to Elisha,“ Your servant, my husband, has died. You know that your servant feared the LORD. Now the creditor is coming to take my two children as his slaves.”

Now a woman of the wives of the sons of the prophets cried out to Elisha, saying,“ Your servant my husband is dead, and you know that your servant feared the Lord; and the creditor has come to take my two children to be his slaves.”

A certain woman of the wives of the sons of the prophets cried out to Elisha, saying,“ Your servant my husband is dead, and you know that your servant feared the Lord. And the creditor is coming to take my two sons to be his slaves.”

Now there cried a certain woman of the wives of the sons of the prophets unto Elisha, saying, Thy servant my husband is dead; and thou knowest that thy servant did fear Jehovah: and the creditor is come to take unto him my two children to be bondmen.

One of the wives of the sons of the prophets cried out to Elisha,“ Your servant, my husband, has died. You know that your servant feared the Lord. Now the creditor is coming to take my two children as his slaves.”

Now there cried a certain woman of the wives of the sons of the prophets unto Elisha, saying, Thy servant my husband is dead; and thou knowest that thy servant did fear the LORD: and the creditor is come to take unto him my two sons to be bondmen.

Now a wife of one of the prophets appealed to Elisha for help, saying,“ Your servant, my husband is dead. You know that your servant was a loyal follower of the LORD. Now the creditor is coming to take away my two boys to be his servants.”

Now a certain woman of the wives of the sons of the prophets cried out to Elisha, saying,“ Your servant my husband is dead. You know that your servant feared Yahweh. Now the creditor has come to take for himself my two children to be slaves.”

有的說：「我們和兒女人口眾多，必須得糧食吃，才能活下去。」有的說：「我們典押了田地、葡萄園、房屋，才得糧食充飢。」有的說：「我們借了錢付田地和葡萄園的稅給王。現在，我們的身體與我們弟兄的身體是一樣的，我們的兒女與他們的兒女沒有差別。看哪，我們卻要迫使兒女作人的奴婢。我們有些女兒已被搶走了，我們卻無能為力，因為我們的田地和葡萄園已經歸了別人。」

接着，有聲音從寶座出來說：「上帝的眾僕人哪，凡敬畏他的，無論大小，都要讚美我們的上帝！」

但耶和華的慈愛歸於敬畏他的人，從亙古到永遠；他的公義也歸於子子孫孫，

以利沙回到吉甲，那地正有饑荒。先知的門徒坐在他面前，他吩咐僕人說：「你把大鍋放在火上，給先知的門徒熬湯。」

這地的民族若在安息日，或甚麼聖日，帶了貨物或糧食來賣，我們必不買。每逢第七年必不耕種，凡欠我們債的必不追討。

因為對那不憐憫人的，他們要受沒有憐憫的審判；憐憫勝過審判。

『你的一個希伯來弟兄若賣給你，服事你六年，到第七年你們各人就要釋放他自由出去。』只是你們祖先不聽我，不側耳而聽。

亞哈召來他的管家俄巴底。俄巴底非常敬畏耶和華。

這些事都已聽見了，結論就是：敬畏上帝，謹守他的誡命，這是人當盡的本分。

罪人雖然作惡百次，倒享長壽；然而我也知道，福樂必臨到敬畏上帝的人，就是在他面前心存敬畏的人。

你們各人若不從心裏饒恕你的弟兄，我天父也要這樣待你們。」

凡敬畏耶和華的，無論大小，主必賜福給他。

耶和華喜愛敬畏他和盼望他慈愛的人。

凡生活窘迫的、欠債的、心裏苦惱的都聚集到大衛那裏，他就作他們的領袖，跟隨他的約有四百人。

有一個人是先知的門徒，遵照耶和華的話對他同伴說：「你打我吧！」那人不肯打他。

我吩咐我的兄弟哈拿尼和城堡的官長哈拿尼雅管理耶路撒冷，因為哈拿尼雅是一個忠信的人，敬畏上帝過於眾人。

主啊，誰敢不敬畏你，不把榮耀歸於你的名？因為只有你是神聖的。萬民都要來，在你面前敬拜，因你公義的作為已經彰顯了。」

哈利路亞！敬畏耶和華，甚喜愛他命令的，這人有福了！他的後裔在世必強盛，正直人的後代必蒙福。

天使說：「不可在這孩子身上下手！一點也不可傷害他！現在我知道你是敬畏上帝的人了，因為你沒有把你的兒子，就是你的獨子，留下不給我。」

在耶利哥的先知的門徒來靠近以利沙，對他說：「耶和華今日要接你的師父離開你，你知不知道？」他說：「我知道，你們不要作聲。」

賣了以後，有權把自己贖回。他弟兄中的一位可以把他贖回。

天離地何等的高，他的慈愛向敬畏他的人也是何等的大！

但是，對你們敬畏我名的人，必有公義的太陽出現，其光線有醫治的能力。你們必出來跳躍如圈裏的牛犢。

他不肯，卻把他下在監裏，直到他還了所欠的債。

那時，敬畏耶和華的人彼此談論，耶和華側耳而聽，且有紀念冊在他面前，記錄那敬畏耶和華、思念他名的人。

「諸位弟兄－亞伯拉罕的子孫和你們中間敬畏上帝的人哪，這救世的道是傳給我們的。
