約沙法說：「耶和華會藉他說話。」於是以色列王、猶大王和以東王一起去見以利沙。

Jehoshaphat said,“ The word of the Lord is with him.” So the king of Israel and Jehoshaphat and the king of Edom went down to him.

Jehoshaphat said,“ The Lord speaks through him.” So the king of Israel went down to see Elisha. Jehoshaphat and the king of Edom also went there.

And Jehoshaphat said,“ The word of the Lord is with him.” So the king of Israel and Jehoshaphat and the king of Edom went down to him.

Jehoshaphat said,“ Yes, the Lord speaks through him.” So the king of Israel, King Jehoshaphat of Judah, and the king of Edom went to consult with Elisha.

Jehoshaphat affirmed,“ The word of the LORD is with him.” So the king of Israel and Jehoshaphat and the king of Edom went to him.

And Jehoshaphat said,“ The word of the Lord is with him.” So the king of Israel and Jehoshaphat and the king of Edom went down to him.

列王必做你的養父，王后必做你的褓姆。他們必向你俯伏下拜，舔你腳上的塵土。那時你便知道我是耶和華，信靠我的必不致失望。」

乃縵率領全體隨從回到上帝的僕人那裡，站在他面前說：「如今我才知道，除了以色列，普天下沒有上帝。請你收下僕人的禮物。」

撒母耳漸漸長大，耶和華與他同在，使他所說的話沒有一句落空。從但到別示巴，全以色列的人都知道撒母耳被立為耶和華的先知。耶和華繼續在示羅顯現，用自己的話啟示撒母耳。撒母耳把耶和華的話傳遍了以色列。

用它擊打河水，說：「以利亞的上帝耶和華在哪裡呢？」河水就左右分開，以利沙便過了河。耶利哥的先知們從遠處看見他，就說：「以利亞的靈降在以利沙身上了。」他們就上前迎接，俯伏在他面前，

以利沙走到水源那裡，把鹽倒在水中說：「耶和華說，『我潔淨了這水，從此它不會再使人死亡，也不會再使土地貧瘠。』」

以利沙轉身看著他們，奉耶和華的名咒詛他們。林中隨即走出來兩隻母熊，咬死了其中的四十二個少年。以利沙從伯特利上了迦密山，又從迦密山回到撒瑪利亞。

欺壓你之人的子孫要向你下拜，藐視你的人要在你腳前跪拜。他們要稱你為耶和華的城，以色列聖者的錫安。

看啊！我要使撒旦的同夥，就是那些假冒猶太人的說謊者，在你面前俯伏下拜，讓他們知道你是我所疼愛的。

上帝的僕人以利沙聽說以色列王撕裂了衣服，便派人去對王說：「你為什麼撕裂衣服呢？讓那人到我這裡來，我要讓他知道以色列有先知。」乃縵帶領車輛和馬匹到了以利沙的家，站在門口。
