因此，为你们的缘故，锡安要被耕种像一块田地，耶路撒冷要变为废墟，这殿的山必如丛林的高处。

上帝啊，外邦人侵犯你的产业，玷污你的圣殿，使耶路撒冷变成废墟，

迦勒底人焚烧了上帝的殿，拆毁耶路撒冷的城墙，用火烧了城里所有的宫殿，毁坏了城里一切宝贵的器皿。

这殿虽然崇高，将来凡经过的人必惊讶，嗤笑，说：‘耶和华为何向这地和这殿如此行呢？’

你的圣城已变为旷野；锡安变为旷野，耶路撒冷成为废墟。我们那神圣华美的殿，就是我们祖先赞美你的地方，已被火焚烧；我们所羡慕的美地尽都荒芜。

看哪，我要吩咐他们回到这城，攻打这城，将城攻取，用火焚烧；我也要使犹大的城镇变为废墟，无人居住。这是耶和华说的。”

迦勒底人必再来攻打这城，并要攻下，用火焚烧。

你们即使击败与你们争战的迦勒底全军，他们当中剩下受伤的人也必各自从帐棚里起来，用火焚烧这城。’”

有人谈论圣殿是用美石和供物装饰的，耶稣就说：“你们所看见的这一切，日子将到，没有一块石头会留在另一块石头上而不被拆毁的。”

耶和华撇弃自己的祭坛，憎恶自己的圣所，把宫殿的墙交给仇敌。他们在耶和华的殿中喧嚷，如在节庆之日一样。

所以我要向这称为我名下、你们所倚靠的殿，与我所赐给你们和你们祖先的地这样行，正如我从前向示罗所行的。

你为何假借耶和华的名预言，说这殿必如示罗，这城必荒废无人居住呢？”于是众百姓都聚集在耶和华的殿中围住耶利米。

设下假见证，说：“这个人不断地说话，侮辱神圣的地方和律法。我们曾听见他说，这拿撒勒人耶稣要毁坏这地方，也要改变摩西所交给我们的规矩。”

敌人伸手夺取她的一切贵重物品；她眼见列国侵入她的圣所，你曾吩咐他们不可进入你的集会。
