On the seventh day of the fifth month, in the nineteenth year of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, Nebuzaradan commander of the imperial guard, an official of the king of Babylon, came to Jerusalem.

Nebuzaradan was an official of the king of Babylon. In fact, he was commander of the royal guard. He came to Jerusalem. It was in the 19th year that Nebuchadnezzar was king of Babylon. It was on the seventh day of the fifth month.

In the fifth month, on the seventh day of the month— that was the nineteenth year of King Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon— Nebuzaradan, the captain of the bodyguard, a servant of the king of Babylon, came to Jerusalem.

On August 14 of that year, which was the nineteenth year of King Nebuchadnezzar’s reign, Nebuzaradan, the captain of the guard and an official of the Babylonian king, arrived in Jerusalem.

巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒十九年、五月十日、其臣僕侍衛長尼布撒喇擔至耶路撒冷、燬耶和華殿、王宮宦第、及耶路撒冷民室、侍衛長率迦勒底軍、墮耶路撒冷城垣之四周、侍衛長尼布撒喇擔虜邑中所遺之貧民、及降巴比倫者、惟遺貧民、使修理葡萄園、耕植其田。

猶大國人、耶路撒冷居民、被擄至巴比倫時、耶利米縲絏、雜眾中、至拉馬、侍衛長尼布撒喇擔釋之、厥後耶和華使耶利米以所遇之事臚陳如左。侍衛長告耶利米曰、昔爾曹負罪、干犯耶和華、不遵其命、爾之上帝耶和華言、必降災於斯土、今一如其言、爾曹遇難其驗也。

敵入耶路撒冷邑門兮、是事也列王億兆、素所不信兮。

王宮民室、悉為迦勒底人所燬、墮耶路撒冷城垣。侍衛長尼布撒喇擔、虜邑遺民、以及歸誠之卒、悉至巴比倫、其尚留於猶大者、惟貧乏之民而已、賜之以葡萄園田畝。巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒、以耶利米託之侍衛長尼布撒喇擔、諭之曰、爾眷顧之、斷勿加害、惟視其所欲、而施之焉。侍衛長尼布撒喇擔宦官長布尼殺班、博士長尼甲沙哩設、與巴比倫王諸牧伯、遣人至外獄。召耶利米、使與沙番孫亞希甘子其大利同歸故土、居於民間。

猶大王約雅斤被擄之三十七年、十二月、二十七日、巴比倫王、以未米羅達即位、乃出猶大王於獄、

四五七十月間、猶大家禁食之時、將為欣喜歡忭之節期、惟爾所專務者、真實和平而已、我萬有之主耶和華已言之矣。
