因為如果孩子沒有與我同去，我怎能上去見我的父親呢？恐怕我會看見災禍臨到我父親身上。”

耶和華這樣說：“你們要寫下，這人算為無子，他的一生毫無成就；因為他的後裔中沒有一人可以成功，能坐在大衛的王位上，再次統治猶大。”

非利士人把他捉住，剜去了他的眼睛，帶他下到迦薩，用銅鍊捆綁著他，他就在監牢裡推磨。

我指著我的永生起誓：他藐視了自己所起的誓，背棄了與王所立的約，因此他必死在巴比倫，就是那立他作王的巴比倫王的國家。這是耶和華的宣告。敵人建造圍城的高牆，築起攻城土壘要剪除多人的時候，法老率領大軍和大隊人馬，還是不能幫助他作戰。他藐視誓言，背棄條約；他已宣誓效忠，卻又行了這一切事，所以他必不能逃脫。因此主耶和華這樣說：我指著我的永生起誓：他既然藐視我的誓言，背棄我的約，我必使這罪歸到他的頭上。我要把我的網撒在他身上，他必在我的網羅中被捕獲；我要把他帶到巴比倫去，並且要在那裡因他對我不忠的罪審判他。

因此耶和華領亞述王的將帥來攻打他們，用鈎子鈎著瑪拿西，用銅鍊鎖住他，把他帶到巴比倫去。

你必逃不出他的手，必被拿住，交在他的手中。你必親眼看見巴比倫王，他必親口和你說話；你也必到巴比倫去。’

他們有些人坐在黑暗和死蔭裡，被困苦和鐵鍊捆鎖著；因為他們違背了神的話，藐視了至高者的旨意。

君王要悲哀，官長要把淒涼當作衣服穿上，那地人民的手都要發顫。我要按著他們的行為待他們，按著他們審判的法則審判他們，他們就知道我是耶和華。’”

你因親眼看見的，必要瘋狂。
