又对他说恩言，使他的位高过与他一同在巴比伦众王的位，

对他说好话，使他的位高过与他一同被掳在巴比伦众王的位；

并好言相待，使他的地位高过被掳到巴比伦的其他各王。

并且安慰他，使他的地位高过和他一起在巴比伦的众王。

使其易衣、待之以恩、賜座高出於同在巴比倫列王之右、每食與共、以畢其生、

易其囚服、以善言慰之、賜之以位、高於同在巴比倫諸王之位、使之終身食於王席、

He spoke kindly to him and gave him a seat of honor higher than those of the other kings who were with him in Babylon.

Awel- Marduk spoke kindly to Jehoiachin. He gave him a place of honor. Other kings were with Jehoiachin in Babylon. But his place was more important than theirs.

Your Majesty, the Most High God gave sovereignty, greatness, glory, and majesty to your predecessor Nebuchadnezzar.Because of the greatness he gave him, all peoples, nations, and languages were terrified and fearful of him. He killed anyone he wanted and kept alive anyone he wanted; he exalted anyone he wanted and humbled anyone he wanted.

Your Majesty, you are king of kings. The God of the heavens has given you sovereignty, power, strength, and glory.

So now I have placed all these lands under the authority of my servant Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon. I have even given him the wild animals to serve him.All nations will serve him, his son, and his grandson until the time for his own land comes, and then many nations and great kings will enslave him.“‘“ As for the nation or kingdom that does not serve King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon and does not place its neck under the yoke of the king of Babylon, that nation I will punish by sword, famine, and plague— this is the LORD’s declaration— until through him I have destroyed it.So you should not listen to your prophets, diviners, dreamers, fortune-tellers, or sorcerers who say to you,‘ Don’t serve the king of Babylon!’They are prophesying a lie to you so that you will be removed from your land. I will banish you, and you will perish.But as for the nation that will put its neck under the yoke of the king of Babylon and serve him, I will leave it in its own land, and that nation will cultivate it and reside in it. This is the LORD’s declaration.”’”
