The king stood by the pillar and renewed the covenant in the presence of the Lord— to follow the Lord and keep his commands, statutes and decrees with all his heart and all his soul, thus confirming the words of the covenant written in this book. Then all the people pledged themselves to the covenant.

The king stood next to his pillar. He agreed to the terms of the covenant in front of the Lord. The king promised to serve the Lord and obey his commands, directions and rules. He promised to obey them with all his heart and with all his soul. So he agreed to the terms of the covenant written down in that book. Then all the people committed themselves to the covenant as well.

And the king stood by the pillar and made a covenant before the Lord, to walk after the Lord and to keep his commandments and his testimonies and his statutes with all his heart and all his soul, to perform the words of this covenant that were written in this book. And all the people joined in the covenant.

The king took his place of authority beside the pillar and renewed the covenant in the Lord’s presence. He pledged to obey the Lord by keeping all his commands, laws, and decrees with all his heart and soul. In this way, he confirmed all the terms of the covenant that were written in the scroll, and all the people pledged themselves to the covenant.

耶何耶大让王及民众与耶和华立约，做耶和华的子民，也让王与民众立约。

她看见王照例站在柱旁，百夫长和吹号的人侍立在王左右，众人都欢呼吹号，便撕裂衣服喊叫：“反了！反了！”

你们要跟从你们的上帝耶和华，敬畏祂，遵守祂的诫命，听从祂的话，事奉祂，倚靠祂。

“今天，你们全都站在你们的上帝耶和华面前，包括你们的族长、长老、官员、所有以色列男子、你们的孩子、妻子和寄居在你们中间为你们砍柴挑水的外族人，为要接受你们的上帝耶和华与你们立的誓约。这样，祂今天将宣告你们是祂的子民、祂是你们的上帝，正如祂对你们的应许和对你们祖先亚伯拉罕、以撒和雅各的誓言。耶和华的这誓约不仅是与你们立的，也是与今天一同站在我们的上帝耶和华面前的人，以及今天不在这里的人立的。

愿赐平安的上帝，就是那位凭着立永恒之约的血使群羊的大牧人——我主耶稣从死里复活的上帝，

他们必打听前往锡安的路，朝锡安走去。他们必凭不会被遗忘的永恒之约归附耶和华。

耶和华除了与以色列人在何烈山立约外，还在摩押吩咐摩西与以色列人立以下的约。

如果你本着诚实、正直、公义，凭永活的耶和华起誓，你必成为万国的祝福，得到他们的尊敬。”

耶何耶大让民众和王与他一起立约，要做耶和华的子民。

我劝你遵守王的命令，因为你曾在上帝面前这样发誓。

摩西下山把耶和华的话和法令都告诉百姓，百姓齐声回答：“我们愿意遵行耶和华的一切吩咐。”

“以色列人啊，你们的上帝耶和华对你们有何要求？无非要你们敬畏祂，遵行祂的旨意，爱祂，全心全意地事奉祂，

“鉴于这一切，我们郑重立约，记载下来。我们的首领、利未人和祭司都在上面盖了印。”

耶和华的律法完美，能更新生命；耶和华的法度可靠，让愚人有智慧。耶和华的法则公正，使人充满喜乐；耶和华的命令纯全，让人眼目明亮。要以纯洁的心敬畏耶和华，直到永远；耶和华的法令可靠，全然公义。

现在，我们来与我们的上帝立约，听从你和那些敬畏我们上帝诫命之人的指示，遵照律法而行，送走这些妻子和她们的儿女。

民众答道：“我们必事奉我们的上帝耶和华，听从祂的话。”当天约书亚与民众立约，在示剑为他们订立律例和典章。

其余的民众、祭司、利未人、殿门守卫、歌乐手、殿役和所有与外族人隔离以便遵从上帝律法的人，以及他们的妻子和儿女等所有能够明白的人，都跟随他们的贵族同胞起誓要谨遵上帝借祂仆人摩西颁布的律法，遵守我们的主耶和华的一切诫命、典章和律例。我们不将女儿嫁给当地的人，也不为儿子娶当地的女子。如果这地方的居民在安息日或其他圣日带来货物和五谷要卖给我们，我们必不购买。我们每逢第七年必不耕种，也必不追讨债务。我们为自己定下律例，每人每年捐献四克银子，供我们上帝的殿使用，以支付供饼、日常献的素祭和燔祭，安息日、朔日和其他节期所献的圣物，为以色列人献上的赎罪祭，以及我们上帝殿中的各项费用。我们的祭司、利未人和民众抽签，决定每年哪一族要在指定的时间把献祭时所需用的木材带到我们上帝的殿里，按照律法的规定烧在我们的上帝耶和华的坛上。我们把每年地里初熟的物产和各种树上初熟的果子献到耶和华的殿里。我们按照律法的规定献上我们的长子和头胎的牛羊，把他们带到我们上帝的殿中，交给在那里供职的祭司。我们把上好的面团、举祭、各样果子、新酒和新油交给祭司，收进我们上帝殿的库房里，并把我们地里收成的十分之一交给利未人，这是他们在我们所有城邑的出产中当收取的份。利未人收取十分之一的时候，要有亚伦子孙中的一位祭司陪同，利未人要从这十分之一中抽出十分之一带到我们上帝的殿中，收进库房里。以色列人和利未人要将这些五谷、新酒和新油作为举祭带到收藏圣所器皿的地方，即供职的祭司、殿门守卫和歌乐手所住的房子。这样，我们便不会忽略我们上帝的殿。

摩西把所有的以色列人召来，对他们说：“以色列人啊，要留心听我今天对你们宣讲的律例和典章，要学习并谨慎遵行。我们的上帝耶和华曾在何烈山与我们立约，这约不是与我们祖先立的，乃是与我们今天还活着的人立的。

你们要全心、全意、全力爱你们的上帝耶和华。

然而，上帝指责祂的百姓，说：“看啊，时候将到，我要与以色列家和犹大家另立新约，这约不同于我与他们祖先所立的约，就是我牵着他们祖先的手领他们离开埃及时所立的。因为他们不持守我的约，所以我不再理会他们。这是主说的。主又说，那些日子以后，我将与以色列家立这样的约，我要把我的律法放在他们脑中，写在他们心上。我要做他们的上帝，他们要做我的子民。谁都无需再教导自己的邻居和弟兄，说，‘你要认识主。’因为他们无论尊卑都必认识我。我要赦免他们的过犯，忘掉他们的罪恶。”上帝既然说要立新约，就是把以前的约当作旧的了，那渐渐过时、陈旧的东西很快就会消失。

即在离开埃及后传授给他们的法度、律例和典章。

还有新约的中保耶稣和祂所流的血。这血比亚伯的血发出更美的信息。

她看见王站在门口的柱旁，百夫长和吹号的人侍立在王左右，众民都欢呼吹号，歌乐手用各种乐器带领众人唱歌颂扬，便撕裂衣服，喊道：“反了！反了！”

现在我决心要与以色列的上帝耶和华立约，好使祂的烈怒转离我们。

“老师，请问律法中哪一条诫命最重要呢？”耶稣回答说：“‘你要全心、全情、全意爱主——你的上帝’，

“我今天警告你们，如果你们忘记你们的上帝耶和华，去追随、供奉、祭拜其他神明，你们必灭亡。
