“除了独一的耶和华以外，还献祭给别神的，那人必须灭绝。

耶户献完了燔祭，就对卫兵和军长说：“你们进去，杀死他们，一个也不让他们出来。”卫兵和军长于是用刀击杀他们，又把他们的尸体抛出去，然后往巴力庙的内室去了。

以利亚对他们说：“捉住巴力的先知，一个也不要让他们逃脱。”于是众人捉住他们。以利亚带他们下到基顺河边，在那里杀了他们。

耶和华的刀染满了血，这刀因脂肪、羊羔和公山羊的血，以及公绵羊腰子的脂肪而滋润，因为耶和华在波斯拉有杀牲献祭的事，在以东地有大屠杀。

至于那先知，或作梦的人，你们要把他处死，因为他说了叛逆的话，叛逆了那领你们出埃及地，救赎你脱离为奴之家的耶和华你们的神，要你离弃耶和华你的神吩咐你走的道路。这样你就把那恶从你们中间除掉了。

“到那日（这是万军之耶和华的宣告），我必从这地除掉偶像的名号，它们不再被人记念；我也必从这地除去假先知和污秽的灵。如果有人再说预言，他的亲生父母必对他说：‘你不该活着，因为你奉耶和华的名说谎。’他说预言的时候，他的亲生父母必把他刺死。
